I love his interviews. Has a future in films playing a heavy when he's done with footy.
You might be onto something, Reservoir Dogs, Snatch, Lock Stock, etc would be right up his alley.

Eeevarn is the one we need, forget Hampson. The only way he should be back in the team is if we can fuse maric amd Hammer into one person. The hammer part for the hitouts and leave the rest to maric.

If we bring in another tall it has to be McBean now Griff is injured , Hampson doesn't do enough away from the stoppages.

Best game I have seen the big man play in a long time.

Was enormous,

loved the way he outmarked Brian Lake in the forward 50 and then stabbed one to Jack on the lead.

It was champagne football

Oh, God.

Jesus. Ivy is a some kind of touchstone.

Last time I made noises like I'm making now (it was about six months ago) I was in an ambulance. Ivy's not the root cause it's just that in understanding him we can understand our team's nature. Flaws and virtues.

He's a bit smaller. He can't jump as high. He's not as agile. He's slow. He doesn't get there. He can't recover. He might as well be buying hot dogs for hours at a time.

But his skills are great. He's strong below the knees. When he's not outmanned he dominates by degrees. And half the time he can do that at AFL level, like against premiership favourite Hawthorn last week.

Ivan Maric is a class above VFL. But at AFL level he can go missing for hours. Opposition rucks have awesome times against Ivvy. CB massacres.

Ivan is a champion ruckman of LimboFL, half way between VFL and AFL. But not athletic enough to be that at AFL.

You don't get Fatty McEvoy every week. Or Billy Shorter.

Hamster's worst is not as bad as often.

Enjoyed your post and the insights contained therein, Dyer'ere ... but Hampson's not a shadow of Maric, never will be.

Just try my PoV on, BT. Watch how badly Ivvy loses. Are you in Melbourne?

Love the Big Fella, yet I do wonder how much more he can give the Tigers ... not sure what he can provide in 2016.
I am in Melbourne most weeks

His marking around the ground is outstanding. He gets destroyed though by quality ruckmen in ruck contests. Dilemma.

That's pretty much it, in a nutshell, Rancey.
I keep repeating myself in that I love the Big Fella ... he brings so much to the team and the Club other than on game day ... but, that said, I do have concerns that if the Tiers are to ascend to the next tier of the competition that they need to find a more dynamic ruckman to take the team up the ladder and match it with the elite teams on a more consistent basis.

Not sure Ivan has ever had a one possession zero mark game Jack.

That's Hammer's norm, not his exception.

I'm not looking for a stink, Redford, it's that Ivan's ruck work leaks. Leaks goals.

Watch that 2013 EF after half time again. He doesn't neutralise and he knows it's futile to chase.

He has to go, brother.

BT. It's this thing we have to face. Shaun was terrible. But he's missed a lot of recent football and he won CB taps and clearances.

Dimma learned. A few weeks ago. But he only called it before the Hawthorn game, about Hamster being less bad.

Yeah. Ivvy lifted. But the rucks were useless. Fatty McEvoy. Carpark Hale.

He watched again tonight. Not through laziness or cowardice. He just can't get there. Almost two years now.

Hamster is not s bad and we should keep him as 1st reserve ruck.

I've been posting for months that we need to FA at least two. Leuenberger FA? That's a start.

Ivan's been gone for two years.

Hampson is a disgrace Jack. 1 possession, 20 HO (4 HOTA) v Jacobs 38 HO (18HOTA) and 14 possessions. Clearances: Jacobs 4 to Hampy 2.
