Grigga

Classy act by Grigga.

Great footy brain, engaging personality, top communicator,I’m confident Richmond will find an on going role that would put Grigga’s talents to use.

A Win/Win scenario,for Grigga and Richmond.

Thanks Grigga, and congrats on a stellar career. Can happily retire as a Richmond Premiership Ruckman

Apparently he retired to give us a spot in the mid season draft. The AFL site has us with 3 other clubs having currently 2 picks :headscratch

One of my mates has made the definitive comment on Grigg’s career. He observed very early on that if Grigg kicks a goal, we win.

Thought I just check this out, 63% win rate, was very handy

We have somebody on the LTIL which counts as the second pick I think?
Assume Alex is the second. What happens if/when they return later this season? Do we have to delist 2 or do we run with a larger list?

Grigga was on SEN a little earlier. Gee, he comes across as a bloody ripping fella. Definitely no dill. Talks to Andy Maher for about 20. Apologies in advance if I've stuffed up the link thingo. New to this caper
Just head over to SEN and click on the arvo show and you'll find it there

How good was that :clap Thanks for that aoc1974.

No worries Tigerman. Easy to understand why his team mates loved him. I think I heard Caro say last nite that after we won the flag she or someone she knows came across Shaun and he was really flat.... when asked why, he apparently said he was just wondering how Brett Deledio would be feeling missing out.
That sort of selflessness, in a moment of what I can only imagine was absolutely euphoric, pretty much sums up the bloke I reckon!
As we have with big Ivan, I hope we're able to keep him around helping to drive those standards home to the young guys.

Yes, like Ivan is, Grigga with his intelligence, and sense of humour would be the perfect person to have in a development for young recruits.

He and Lids were best mates when Lids was still at Richmond.

Was a slow burn to me...probably more of a reflection of where we were when he arrived.... The helicopter kicks and all. But his reliability came to the fore and his ability to run long and hard to the right places and his high percentage set shot conversions, link up play all made him an indispensable part of our finals teams and ultimately the flag.
Very quickly was best mates with all the star players and doing media when few others were prepared to do.
Great service to Tigerland and hope his post playing career benefits the RFC now or at some future time.

Cheers Grigga the Premiership Ruckman ;D

Has done the team thing, wont surprise me to see his mate Lids hang em up now also.

That said after the 2017 Premiership whodathunk that Grigga wouldve retired before Deledio.

Will be kept around the joint hopefully as has a great footy brainfrom all reports.

Tell the Blues to gagf if they try to pinch him back.

Would be great to him do a media role for the rest of this year. Plenty currently in the media who he would be much better

Not sure exactly which one I would most like to see him replace. Wakley or Lloyd would be close to the top of the list
