Grigga

Thanks for the premiership Grigga. This decision shows the Tigers of 2017-2019 as opposed to early years. We would have kept him on in years gone by and he would not have called time. Well done to everyone involved. Ruckman or inside mid please. Leaning more towards the inside mid.

If my memory serves me correctly, handballed over the pack to Lambert in the 3rdQ, the moment we won it. Great career, well done.

Yep. It was a great passage of play by him. From memory he cleared the ball from the centre and roughly 10 seconds later after it pinballed around in the forward line for a bit he was there again in the thick of a contested situation handballing it out to Lambert for the goal. Great stuff.

I'll freely admit I wasn't always his biggest fan. It took a lot for him to win me over but that's more on me than him. He has been a great servant of the club and his 2017 and 2018 seasons were fantastic. He's a premiership hero and for that the supporters will forever be grateful. Plus the bonus of screwing Carlton over in the deal to get him :hihi

Well done Grigga and all the very best for the next stage of your life :clap

More father sons please! ;D

Thanks for playing a very vital role in our 2017 Tiger Premiership Shaun. We will never forget that day or your contribution.

I hope that he stays at the Tigers and helps coach the kids. Very smart analyst of the game.

Ultimate clubman to the end. Selfless decision to retire to give someone else the opportunity.

Hope he stays around the club. Will be interesting to see whether his elite footy brain translates to elite coach.

All the best Grigga!

Gee, haven't best mates Lids and Grigg had different ends to the twilight of their careers!

Sadly for Lids that Grigg will always be a club hero.

Well done Shaun. Consistency of output was exceptional and was pretty reliable at converting the goal scoring chances he got. Always enjoyed his work on TT too.

One thing for sure from Grigg's 1st interview at the club, JR8 was a much better interviewer as a young bloke than Gary Lyon was in AFL Squadron ;D

Standing next to Jack just shows you how undersized he was for a ruckman

Three cheers for Grigg.

I officially forgive him for being a Carlton player.

I remember a study I did once on which players played well in tough games.

Grigg was the standout. The definition of "uphill skiier".

He was the only player who had a good game EVERY single time it was a tight match or against top opposition.

Early day whipping lad (unjustified), art of the helicopter kick, premiership player/ruckman, overall GOOD BLOKE.

This for 6 in a row for the Tigers, - GF Q3 2017 :)

In his time at Richmond he would be very close to the most consistent and durable in that time. Rarely played a bad game, super hard runner and extreme footy iq.

Simply a bloody good footballer who made players around him better.

Does it get any better then been remembered as a Richmond football club Premiership player

yes. being remembered at a Richmond football club DUEL premiership player.

Griggas hips gave out about 4 months to early

All the best Grigga. Premiership hero, mate of Dusty, and a knife in cartoon hearts all through 2017/18.

Came to a club who was not respected.

Leaves it now as a juggernaut, a club that despite injuries is still feared and who only play ferocious.

Hope he stays on at RFC.

His Footy IQ and easygoing manner makes him a valuable asset in our coaching/media departments.

Would make a brilliant Development Coach, mentoring the youngsters.

Make him an offer he can’t refuse Richmond.
