Goodbye Mabior Chol

Peak Chol just got peaker.
Maybe the 2nd half effort last week was due to being winded. i was wrong.

Impressive display of tackle and bustle, brought the pressure.
He certainly showed intent and desire.
I liked it

Stays in games a lot more, or it's the shorter quarters playing tricks on us. Either way, he's earning his spot.

This guy is starting to realise he can really play this game, starting to show how good he can be.

Has to work on timimg his leap better, especially in the ruck contests where he often springs too early (do we even have a ruck coach these days?), but marking too. Has one of the biggest springs in the game; so much under-utilised ability still to develop.

Go Cholly, there's a big future in this game for you. Grab it with two hands.

Mabior Pendleburry was great tonight.

I think he knows some voodoo stuff.

Best 9 possession game ive seen.
His kicking is elite

Disagree. Only had 4 efficient disposals, 44% efficiency. Was quite flashy, hit the right spots for a couple of goals, some good defensive tackles but a couple of those times he should have won the ball. May have created some structure issues when forward but wasn't clunking marks when in best position. He's evolving but thought his game last week was better.

I agree with some, we can't have all of Lynch, Reiwoldt, Mabs forward against a good side. Bit of a dilemma.

Some people thought this fella was no good..but he has the ability to be very, very good.
Thrilled with his game & his development. First real 4 quarter effort from Mabs.
Keep it up son.
Agree about the 4 quarter effort. Needs to keep building the intensity.
He's always had some nice skills. Just needs to keep involved.
I'm coming around, ToO. :)

Looks like Two Phones has been spending some time with Tony Bartuccio.
Dancing through congestion like Fred Astaire atm.
Didn’t realise he had such natural evasive instincts. Fakes, side steps and dancing feet. And 200cm.
Something!!

Nice little piece on AFL.com mainly on Mabs but includes Eggs and Jake Aarts as well:

Great to see with Mabs and Eggs the penny may have dropped as indicated by the proactive steps they have taken to better themselves.

Stackie needs to take note

Dimma has spoken long and often on the advantage of being able to exploit our depth and bring in younger players, while others are in rehab.
Chol coming in for Nankervis is a great example.
Bolton did it last year and another favourite, Balta is doing exactly the same thing now.
Dimma also commented that eventually Balta could be expected to hold his place after Astbury returns.
IMO these 3 (plus Astbury) will all play in our next premiership.

Like that Balta is likely to hold his spot. Has promise that lad.
