Golf

Hatton hits 2 out of bounds on 18 for a 9, goes from 2 under to 2 over
Ffs. Seriously. How bad was that for a professional golfer (and my PRE team.) That was just ***.

Hits it OOB with his first. Does exactly the same with his provisional. OOB again. And if all that wasn’t bad enough, he then duck hooks his third off the tee into an area that would’ve been OOB on most other courses as well.

Quadruple bogey. On a par 5. Goes from -2 and in contention to +2 and finished. Quite staggering. Embarrassing for him, that’s for sure.

Batten down the hatches. It’s gonna rain all day in the 3rd and 4th rounds. If that forecast is right, anyone could still win this.

Ah the vagaries of the Big BO. Well, there's been some movement in the 2023 PRE BO brought to you by Drofder Enterprises. (You may have noticed their new watch being advertised on the hoardings at the BO. The EggTimer DRF - guaranteed to be a "timeless" classic.)

The 2023 US Open winner, angle ankle, storms to the lead at -12, largely off the efforts of Brian "Punter" Harman. His boy Lamprecht goes backward with a +8 but Harman picks up the slack. Tigerman takes a beating but strangely, because of a bunch of reasonable rounds just over par. Still second though at -4. MD Jazz shoots -6 to climb into third place at -1. BT Tiger has the best second round shooting -9 and rocketing up into fourth place at even par.

Harman the big influencer. Fox bounces back with a -4.

Bunch of players did not make the cut at +3.

Big rain forecast for rounds 3 and 4. Could go any way yet.

Foooooooooooooooooooore !

Punter has a lot of waggles before he hits. Would *smile* me if I was playing with him. Wonder if he knows how many he does? Like the joker bouncing it 20 times before serving. Wonder if punter counts his waggles or if it could get excessive given his position and the expectation that he should win it from here.

Rahmbunctious ! The 2023 PRE BO moves around again.

At last, some decent scoring by these guys with the average field score being 70.4 and equating to a 72.4 for the PRE BO and therefore, +1 for those players missing the cut. A good field score has an impact on players making the cut, but shooting poorly eg MacIntyre, Lamprecht, Willett etc.

Only person to have Rahm was Tigerforce who, with a 3rd round score of -10 gets pipped for the best round by RPR with-12. BT Tiger also shoots -10 and debutante Rory Baby goes well with a -9.

But its angle ankle that continues to hold sway with -17 overall. Will take some catching but not impossible. Can angle ankle the swarthy Argentinian go back to back in Majors ? Wow.

tigerman, BT Tiger and RPR battling it out for 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

Wet conditions expected again in the final round. Punter Harman's to lose. Someone out of Rahm, Young, Day, Fleetwood or Hovland is gonna have to do a 3rd round Rahm-like effort and hope Harman drops a few.

Fooooooooore !!!!

Well done to the Ram, but really disappointed in Fleetwood and Shuffles.
The Snuffler got upset with the press during the week saying they were making too big a deal about his putting. And of course he’s putted miserably again this week missing several 3 footers.
