Why did Jase tee off like that? In the bunker, although he's got some space. Shhhhhhot! Saved that one.

DJ put it on the 18th fairway off the 1st ffs !

Dunno if I’ve seen so many blokes miss the fairway off the 1st.

A. Scott OOB on 18 right with a 3 wood. Then a mile left with his re load.

Sprayed it all round long. +1 would be amazing. Should be +10. Ditto Smith.

Woah hoah ! What a 1st round in the 2023 PRE BO. The biggest and best major of the year.

Despite a pretty average on course performance I reckon by a lot of players (never seen so many missed fairways) the PRE BO contestants did pretty well overall. Some great scores actually. And one or two ....hmmmm.

The highs: tigerman bursts out of the blocks with a stunning -10 thanks to Fleetwood, Clark and some solid low end picks. Angle ankle, our recent PRE US Open winner trails in 2nd place at -5. Good job by aa to select Lamprecht (who ?) who shot -5. MD Jazz has the third highest collective score thanks to Adri Anus who went +11 but MD's best 6 gets him back to just 5 over.

The lows: poor old Moops takes a punt on JT and it backfires. +11. Wow. JT in the horrors. Ryan Fox lets a number of us down with a +7. Lift Foxy ! BT Tiger picks the wrong Hojgaard.

Anyway, Round 2 kicks off in a few hours. Expecting Rory to make a move in the early groups. Fleetwood and Clark have their games "on" at the moment. They'll be interesting.....going out later. Bloody Spieth.

Foooooooooooooooooooore !!!!

Still a chance Manchester's rain could move west to Liverpool.
They are predicting rain in rounds three and four. Basically all day long. But if it’s anything like the bureau of meteorology here in Melbourne, then it will be 35° and dry.

You could tell on the very 1st hole that he was in for a looong day.

Speaking of the 1st hole, how many of these guys are missing the fairway off the tee !? Geez…

Yep, I only saw his first 3 or 4 holes but he was scratchy to be sure.

Mind you, Fleetwood was too but did alright in the end.

Might be a bit mentally weak JT. Has won a major but didn’t his nearest rival completely botch the 18th handing him a win? Or am I thinking of a different major?
