Golf

FWIW I played at The Nash Old course on Friday. It's such a delight to play. But I've never seen a course with more unfilled divots. It's an absolute embarrassment to the membership. What a joke those guys are to not bother filling their divots. And there's undulations everywhere where the grass is growing over. What a bunch of muppets. Buckets galore and sand at every tee. No excuses for such poor behaviour. Must be a bunch of entitled knobs to treat their own course that way.

And they are slack at repairing pitch marks on greens as well. Boy oh boy they don't realise how lucky they are getting to play in such a glorious setting.

Club “Entitled” incredible facilities, however as poorer a club atmosphere and respect shown to a golf course that I have seen

Yeh, my mate who is a member would barely know 4 other members.

Where I grew up the post round club atmosphere was loud and funny. Guys settling bets, having a round of beers and laughing their heads off.

I'm 5 years off having a membership somewhere, it would be great to be able to play there with 3 such different tracks. But I also wouldn't mind a friendlier place.

Just for the record had scores of 71, 68, 70 and 84 :))

Had 2 very rusty Draughts and then home to bed, didn’t even make it to the championship dinner with the roast lamb
Your name is on the honour board forever Mr B. 11 shots is a smashing. Clearly not enough pressure on you in the last round to bring out your best.

Best value for money membership going around by a street , if you just like playing with the same 3 each week and no intrest in socialising with anyone else it’s perfect , you do of course have to put up with all the pompous , rude, disrespectful, arrogant and entitled members no matter how hard you try to just enjoy the golf .

Was actually to sick to feel the pressure , had to take a cart and was hitting 2 to 3 extra clubs each hole , now I understand how hard the game is for golfers like Rudeford

Happened a while back at Cranbourne PT, internets gone crazy with these type of videos since, bloody dangerous sport
Been around golf clubs since I was really young, following my father around the golf course. But just never really appealed to me to get into it anymore than a once a month country course social hit. Walking on eggshells among wanker club golfers, treating weekly intra-club comp as if it's the British Open I always found rather baffling, even as a kid. FFS fellas, get some perspective in life.

Hmmm. Must be someone else. Maybe MD. Leonardo actually. Yep. Definitely him. Leon.

You're more a Larry Nelson guy. I remember now.

Yes that's me - the MWL fan. He's going in the right direction but has to learn how to play tighter golf. Same for Cam Davis. Both have plenty of power but it's all about your wedges and putts in the end.
What's going on with Larry's HHS? Is he a backwoods type of guy? Caught a squirrel for lunch and storing it under there?

Agreed. If the national ever get their foot in thee door at a decent city course, the sandbelt clubs will be screwed. They made a charge for Huntingdale but were blocked by some last minute demands. Got bloody close though.

Is Frankston Nth not the city!

Long Island is a decent track, apparently they are going to be spending a lot of $$ on it.

Are there still waiting lists at the sandbelt clubs? I imagine their average age profile would look like some sort of aged care facility.

Has their ever been some sort of PRE golf championship or golf day? Sounds like Mr B would be the scratch favourite. Perhaps you could sneak a few groups on The Nash through the tradesman entrance!

Yeah, they’re the nett scores but what about the gross ?

But wait. You win the B grade championship playing with a cart ? A cart !! ? I know you’re the oldest poster on PRE but regardless, that’s cheating.

And here’s me thinking you’d finally put the demons of Brad Lamb to rest. But no. You used a cart to do it. Shame shame shame.

Silly old softo. Give the pewter mug and $20 gift voucher back.
