One of my mates that I played Pennant with years ago catches up with an ex PGA Tour player that we both used to play against in Pennant before he turned pro.
He tells my mate some interesting stories about Phil. There's public fan Phil....and then there's another Phil.
The ole Horshack.
You know he gave his caddie a $1million bonus after he won the Fed Ex in 2015 ? Very generous man is the Horshack.
What Phil said was spot on. The Saudi’s are a disgrace and anyone taking their filthy cash condone their regime.

Yes, the Saudi's are a disgrace, but Mickelson's statement criticising them came after he had been over there taking outrageous appearance money off them to play golf there. At the same time he was slagging off the US Pga Tour.
He now appears to have got cold feet, and is not going to take anymore of the Saudi's money, and is not joining their proposed tour.

Stressed ? After he won the US PGA last year he was going on about how fit he was, new lease of life, how he never felt better etc etc.
But wasn't Phil planning on taking that filthy cash to leverage the PGA tour for more money himself? He was complaining not that long ago about how the PGA make money from his likeness without him seeing a cent of it, yet the PGA tour has made him and extremely wealthy man through the massive prize purses up for grabs. Struck me as hyprocritical to acknowledge the dodginess of the Saudi regime yet be considering joining them anyway.
Its the American way, love the sound of their own voices.
But Phil takes it to the next level no doubt.
Don’t normally go much for the Honda Classic but that was a very entertaining finish today.
The normally unflappable Berger blows a 5 shot lead shooting +4 on the first 6 holes. The equally tough Lowry plays super to get a lead only for Sepp Straka to come from the clouds (in a massive late round downpour) over the last few holes to win.
An Austrian wins for the first time so that’s good.

It’s not a great course plus they come off a big California-desert swing. A heap will be back for Bay Hill this week. Arnie’s house.
Yeh they’ve got Bay Hill, The Players (Sawgrass) and The Masters in just over a month. Good time to freshen up.
