O'Hern :duh Just lucky ;D,I thought hes tee to green play was excellent on the back 9 an he actually showed a bit of heart for once, instead of playing safe. But for christ sake those two putts he missed were as weak as *smile* ,dont get me wrong very happy to see him actually win a 4 rounder, but lets face it he got lucky ,Lonard is not in great form an played the play off on pure heart,O'hern did not get one single putt to the hole an consistantly kept coming up short cause he did not have the nuts to get the ball back to the hole.

Worst call of all time from Newton"Nick can win a major" :hihiCant even hole a 2 footer on resort greens how would he go on anice little left to righter on a U S open typpe green under the pump

Anyway well done Nick :clapgood to see a bloke without a lot of natural talent do well on hard work ;D

Good post there CC
During the 4 rounds, O'Hern tried to lose.
Crap hole for a playoff though.
No Risk and Reward though

Hah hah hah ....what about 7's coverage again. Besides the usual littany of crap from Newton (he used the 1980's "mayors office" cliche gain !), Ogle and Roberts, did any of you guys watch Paul Gow hitting off on that par 3 where the sound from his 7 iron was that of a smashed titanium driver ! Hah hah hah...the channel 7 duds used a fake driver noise from their special effects instead of the real noise coming from a microphone ! Hah hah hah....the doofuses gave themselves away completely.

God channel 7 are a bunch of amateurs. We've got some farcical stuff to look forwrad to again with their coverage of the footy next year, I can guarantee it !

Apparently ch 7 are exporing a way to Peter McKenna in the grandstand, call him the 'sharpshooter' and let him commentate from there. My god that will be brilliant if they can pull it off.

PS How does the Mayors office cliche go again?

C7

The over familiarisation and use of nick names, gives me the sh1ts, Gowy, Greeny,
Reference to Peter Seniors Age
What the amount of poxy ads. That Dodo & Allenby drives me nuts and as for that talking Srixon ball i'd be more than happy to cut the smile off that things face.

Also
Numerous times C7 show a shot, got to an ad, bring up that stupid profile leaderboard and then show the same shot they showed before they went to the ad.

What about the hole in one Volkswagen.
Roberts, very nice car up for grabs this weekend
Ogle, blah blah blah, that's the one with the windscreen wiper things, very nice car
Roberts, Yes it is Brett

By the way, If I ever have a putt that looks straightforward, I hope that Ogle doesnt have his house on it

Badds wins

1 Aaron Baddeley -21
2 John Rollins -20
3 Jeff Quinney -19
4 Bart Bryant -18
5 Billy Mayfair -17

Gee a quality field, everyone else is in the desert. Anyway a wins a win.

Apparently Badds three shots down with four holes to go.

Don't care too much for the bloke (sportsmen and women who constantly pump personal agendas such as religion give me the sh*ts) but it was very good golf from him.

Quinney may have choked but Dresses still birdied 3 of the last 4. So well done. But please Badds, leave God out of it

Stenson winning in Dubai is also very good. Beating Els and Woods.
I like the look of Stenson, any scuttlebutt on this bloke?

Stenson is a very, very good player. Watched him closely at the US PGA in Chicago. Hits the ball a freakin mile.

He gets his hands ahead of the ball a bit at impact and subsequently closes the cubface a bit which leads to a few shots to the left, but otherwise, he goes well.

There is actually a bit of scuttlebut about him. A few years ago he was touted as an up and coming gun on the European Tour. However, in the Irish Open….at of all places the K Club where he dominated the Yanks in the Ryder Cup recently….he suddenly had a complete golf melt down and lost his way mentally thereafter for a few years. Apparently he went into a Baker Finch type spiral. However, a couple of years ago he started working with a sports psycologist and turned the mental part of his game right around.

Another piece of info on him is that despite the typically cool looking Swedish exterior, he is apparently one of the funniest and best liked players on the European Tour.

Lives in Dubai.

Ta Red
Nice gossip.

They must struggle for jokes on the tours if they think a swede is funny.
I challenge you to name another funny swede, aside from the chef in the muppets.

Did you hear any of the comments from Gulbis re her efforts in the Aussie Open?
Perhaps she should refund the appearance money

Apparently Nicolas Fasth is a very funny guy and if you were watching the Dubai on Sunday night you would have seen his playing partners Woods and Fisher cracking up with laughter at some of the things he was saying.

Another Swede - Jesper Parnevik - is also apparently very funny. In fact, his dad is a very famous clown in Sweden believe it or not. Yes, a clown. His old man was/is a real life clown. Jesper learnt all sorts of tricks from him e.g. card tricks, slight of hand tricks etc.

So, you see, those Swedes ARE a funny bunch Micky !

And the bloke that designed the Volvo 244. He got away with a ripper joke.

I heard the Jesper eats charcoal? drinks his own wee? and poses intellectual puzzles to his caddy to help pass the time between shots.

Maybe you should give him a call and point out the fault. I'm sure he'd appreciate it!

As Im sure I have mentioned ;DNot a fan at all of Badds.com,but this kid is such a talent ,best putter in the world an his most underatted quality is his ability to win a tournament when he is a winning situation, might not have been the strongest field but if the driver starts to click he will be top 10 in the world

Not my words...his coach's. But I'll pass it onto him just the same. Thanks.

I'm a pretty average golfer but am just about to start playing golf with a club on a fortnightly basis. 8)

On the lookout for some Golf shoes but don't really know where to start..
Any suggestions on good brands at a relatively affordable price? Ta.

I've got 7 pairs at the moment. Hah hah hah.....4 Nikes and 3 Adidas.

I've been through 'em all Tooheys. Footjoy (good), Adidas (good if you spend a bit), Nike (good if you spend a bit), Etonic (crap), Reebok (crap).

Tip: dont go down the Niblick or other cheapo route. It will cost you in the end. Spend for the long run on well built more solid shoes and it will save you big time.
