TJ's take on our feminist/socialist-inflicted woes:

I spoke with Peggy yesterday, and I agreed with her assessment that we need more Marx in the forward 50.

Hahaha.

This logic always baffles me.

Hardwick standing staunchly in front of his selection committee. A sea of concerned faces look up at him.

"Dimma, we need to drop Grigg, I've heard he has no arms."
Dimma glares him down,
"Nay," He bellows, "I heart Grigg. He plays."
"Okay Dimma," says another, "then we must drop Newman. He sometimes doesn't kick goals."
"Nay," He bellows, "We are BFFs. He plays."

The above. It does not happen.

Players are selected on logic/planning/tactics/availability. Not how much they're liked. Even if it was the case that Dimma had some personal connection with Petterd, over, say Foley, that would not affect who he and the selection committee chose to play in any given situation.

It's akin to some of the logic going around here that Vickery was recruited because of the boxing coach.

I picture Vickery's dad with Dimma under one arm, FJ under the other, giving them alternating noogies until they pick his son.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Thats sublime :fing32

I'm not to sure if anyone else noticed but when Mcguane chaired off Browny, browny's testicle was sitting on Mcguanes shoulder. Ironically that was the first time Mcguane touched a ball all night.

Streak's always had a good eye for talent, but this spotting was extraordinary. As is the entire nuts thread.

On the RFC website there is an article about Bryan Wood becoming our 3rd 'Coming home hero'.

The article features a pic of Wood in kicking motion.

Can someone confirm that there is a ball in the picture (and I am not talking about the one he just kicked).

Those of us that got a peak at the pic before it was removed will never be quite the same again.

The MOTH asked me what i burst out laughing at when I read that.

On hearing the news of trent cotchins impending fatherhood, and hopes of a happy, healthy little boy, Tiger Dave adds.

And they call him Tommy! :)

Ah. Life as a metaphor for footy. The cycle of life, death and richmond.

Tommy Cotchin. Got a ring to it.

Some allegorical gold from Knightsy. Hes basically rewritten one of Australia's finest colloquialisms. :clap

The PM seems to have a red-herring generator buried in his budgie smugglers.

The headline now becomes : "Prime Minister's red-herring generators confiscated at LAX"

Gold is hard to find these days. Uhuh Uhuh cogitates a sublime indicator, on several levels.

Maybe we could set up some KPI's that work out the level of mediocrity each supporter will accept.

We can them compare them to a commitment KPI for the players and coaches (P&C).

If our mediocrity KPI does not match the P&C commitment KPI we can work on the differential and create a strategy that will bring both statistics closer together. I will call this the Participation Health Unit Commitment or PHUC for short.

Once the strategy is in place and both KPI's are brought together Richmond should finish ninth and everyone will be very happy with it.

If they have played less then 6 or 12 games of competition football you can be automatically signed. Karmichael Hunt, Myke Pyke are some well known ones. We tried to do it to Matty Dea but he ended up playing too many games.
Thanks. Let's hope he is more Myke than Hunt.

:rofl

A hidden nugget from Spook in his very entertaining match report.

"....before a Port over-the-back special releases lesbian 400m runner Kane Mitchell..."

I've always thought Kane had a touch of the Eastern-bloc female athlete about him.
