GOAT Day thread - TIGERS Vs wees & poos hawkers

Hold the line.

Yze robbed of the midfield he wanted and forced to stick mannequins in there.

He wants beast mode in the guts, make no mistake. We will draft for the next Clarrie Oliver and look to boss first possession in 2025.

Cattle isn’t fit for this drover. Hold the *smile* line until the list is turned over some.

Yep, pretty mediocre performance.

Every time I looked there were more Hawthorn players around the ball, they had spare players to pass to. We were chasing tail all day and we lacked skills. Hawthorn are on the improve and just had so much more run and ability.

Sad to see, we have a long way to go before we can be competitive again, just don't have the players.

I understand that we need to try the young players out for a fair number of games and have some patience. But there are a few who really need to improve in a hurry or we can hardly keep them on. Dow is a prime example, I just can't see how a lightly built mid can survive the AFL without much better disposal skills than he has.

Great to see such a massive crowd, Dusty certainly deserved the big turn out.

We kicked 6 goals for the entire game and we have Aamarty who has kicked 8 to 3 qtr time.
Who's Sydney recruiter???

Running the game through my mind on the train ride home. What was obvious was WE JUST DO NOT RUN AND SPREAD OR PROVIDE AN OPTION. How many times we took a mark AND NO ONE WAS *smile* PRESENTING FURTHER DOWN THE GROUND. No 15-20m chip mark kicks moving the ball keeping possession taking some pace out of the game at times. We are putrid at this. Our forward line resembled Easter Island - statues everywhere. Our centre clearance work was embarrassing at times. Why we waited 3/4’s to enact the sub was mind blowing. Nothing was working through the early stages of the third quarter yet we kept a midfielder on the pine. I’m not saying the kid is a star but PUT THE KID ON, WHAT DID WE HAVE TO LOSE??? 92K turned up. The club said show your support for a champion and we did. An effort from the boys would have been nice. Tackling, chasing, presenting - just the basics. Didn’t care if we lost, but not in that fashion. I don’t know if it’s learning a new game style, fitness and conditioning deficiencies, coaching or just players not up to it. We need to at least start showing some competitiveness or we could be in for some hard times. Cotchin, Riewoldt, Shedda, Dusty potentially are/will be gone - who is going to drag us into games in the future. Who is going to grab the kids attention to want to turn up/talk about/wear their numbers? Who is generation Next?

This is why I want Teague to go. We need a better forwards coach.

At least Yze has finally admitted that our basic skill level is well below par. It took him a while so now we can only hope he does something about it

Considering it was Dusty 300th game and there’d be a huge crowd to acknowledge and celebrate his achievement
Our club as a whole should be ashamed of the rubbish effort the majority of the players put out the tonight

In my view, its about skills, kicking, handballs, tackling etc. None of that worked tonight. So no blame on any individual player, but I say, we have some foundation to work with. Yes I'm an optomist, bring on the draft, onwards and upwards. In saying that some of tonight looked almost mid 2000's

We aren't fit.
Where's the next Edwards?
The next Castagna?
Lambert?
We don't run and we don't spread.
Ralphsmith has improved who else?

We need kids that can 15kms without any issue.

Don’t worry. I’m sure he’ll bring Kane on with 10 minutes to go in last quarter.

He’s a match day genius is Yze.
It's not just that. Where and what is the pre-game planning. No thought into quelling Sicily and his shadow, Scrimshaw? Did anyone think that Cumberland, Mansell and Campbell were going to be competitive in the air? Lynch poor on his return but got little assistance; easily held or blocked, double teamed. Kosi did well when he was eventually deployed.

Why arn't we fit? Mate blame recruiters if that is what your asking. You have to put games into children.
