No doubt they have pulled off a big trade. But let’s not get carried away with Port winning the flag next year.
After Dixon, Jonas, Lycett, McKenzie, Boak, Gray (already), Motlop (already) have all retired ? I highly doubt it.

That group on its own, without all the players I mentioned, and without picks in 2023 definitely, 100%, is NOT winning a premiership in a few years time.

Recent history has shown teams often have a down year and then bounce back after a run and I like the way their list is shaping up.
Junior Rioli will be huge for their forward structure and with JHF and Rozee emerging as a gun midfielder they are starting to get a good crew in there and some nice balance.
With one or two others of their mid ages about to kick on and a solid spine I think they will give it a real shake next year.

He’s a great player HF. No doubt about it. And Port have done well to get him. But him, on his own, won’t be the difference between finishing 11th and 1st at Port. A couple of other players on the move this year and re bound improvement across the group might be, but HF on his own won’t.
Yep, seems to be a bit of Figgy about him. Hinkley's coaching is also still a question for them.

So GWS have just traded out all their picks that might have worked for us. I hope Balmey tells them its F1 and Soldo or they can keep Hopper and try and hide their Salary Cap breach! Then sit back with his Monte Carlos and watch them sweat bullets until they are forced to concede 10mins before the deadline.

JHF is a bust for sure. No way a player with that shameful attitude is going to make it. The other players will likely tell him to FO 6mths into his 6 year contract.
