GAME DAY Tiges v Suns

I’m expecting a spluttering 3-4 goal win

ill be happy with that. Then i expect and hope for the same over pies.

then, if we are to continue to live our best lives,

we'll stick her into 4th gear for cats and lions, hopefully at full strength except noah and broady.

The good news is Damien Barrett thinks we'll lose, so a nice percentage booster coming up.

Should win, but not confident. Thank God Karmichael Hunt is not playing!!
As eternally grateful that I am for 3 flags in 4 years, even they have not managed to fully erase the haunting memories of that game :mhihi

This game should answer the question.
"Who is closer to a premiership? Brandon Ellis or Richmond"

Again? Where did he say this?

edit: just listened to the podcast , he said “I’m not sitting here thinking the Suns will win “.

But he did give Dimma a nice little drive by by referring to Dimmas “sook rants that he seems to be doing more of lately”.

Tonights game? The bloke is more clueless than I thought.

Well, I see he tipped us in the AFL page's tipping comp (currently second-last) but in the podcast with Nat Edwards he engages in wishful speculation that we need a big stage to fire up and this isn't a big stage and GC will be up for it and we've got key players out and yada yada. So maybe not so much tipping GC as openly and vocally hoping for it.

The Suns have a decent defence, with Collins, Powell, Ballard, Bowes, Lemmens, Lukosious and Markov. And we kicked two (2) goals last week.

But other than Miller and the child Rowell, their midfield is pretty sparse. Their named centreman, Jeremy Sharp, is 19 and has played three games - last week was his first for the year. Their 'ruckman' is Shaun Grigg's height (has longer arms).

I think we'll have to play Grimes on King and give up 10cm, rather than Dave and give up 10 metres. DTLD can play on their crock, Day.

It probably won't be pretty. If we lose to this mob it will be very ugly. Can't see it.

We should pump them but I thought that about the Saints game too. And the Saints were lucky to beat the Suns.

I do like that Powell though, good player.

In what could prove to be a ho-hum game at times, I am confident that the Tigers will respond with a 36+ point win.
Dare I say it ... the next stepping stone to the three-peat

We will dominate them in the middle but I worry about our ability to score goals. Our stop start ball movement will allow them to fold back and crowd our forward line.

Quick ball movement must be our mantra tonight.

I want to see us get the basics right:
- stick tackles
- stop fumbling
- run hard to create space
- move the ball quickly and directly
If these things happen we win

A few inclusions don’t fill me with a lot of confidence (Ross, Naish) and I think certain players selected may be underdone (Lynch, Vlastuin).

Hopefully we win, but I can’t see us running away with it.

Tactical considerations aside, I just want a more professional, competitive performance.

I want them to play like the reigning premiers gunning for a threepeat.

Nah, faark that.

I want savagery.

Watch the commentary make a big deal every time Collins and Lynch are close to each other..... Predicting it will drive me crazy.
