Game Day - Tiges V Freo

It's like being a junky.
During the 3rd QTR I knew I would be broken again but I strapped myself in.

Reckon that was probably our defences best game of the year. They held out well. Unfortunately the midfield and fwd line decided to fall asleep

I’m baffled by the comments that Jack and Cotch are cooked…Jack worked his arse off all match and made some great contests and a couple of big grabs. Cotch was hitting in hard…Sheds unfortunately is struggling and think that could have been his last chance to hit form…but there’s not much in the cupboard unfortunately

It was the right move but we probably lost the game with the forward line as selected. In hindsight it was a bizarre three pronged attack. So little pressure with ball on deck.

As a few astute judges on here said very early on.

Leaving aside the result our defence in the 2nd half was monumental. I thought we would lose from late in the 3rd right to the end of the game.
I know we are all disappointed, I am as well.

You can blame the players

And I have been defending Dimma

But

A Nank Balta Riewoldt triple threat ain’t gonna kick you a winning score.

A smaller forward setup and some shorter hit ups would’ve sufficed
Jnr please

This, can never be underestimated nor taught obviously, its instinctive or non existent, as Noah clearly demonstrates on a regular basis.

Having NOT grown up from an early age playing the game and therefore having zero instincts for it, hurts him hugely when it comes to the very simple basic nuances of the game.

At times he looks 100% lost and doesnt have a clue as to what to do next, Id be more than happy to see him traded away for better talent or trade picks, we've seen his best and its not going to improve from here on out Im afraid to say.
Nope. He just needs to be played in his best position. As a backman. Blokes his size and athletiscm are a rare commodity. You dont trade them out. You just play them where they flourish.

Heaven Forbid if they are finally going to turn us over its going to be this year ... everyone else is doing it.
We'll win another game when finals are done and dusted. These blokes are shot to pieces. It is all in their heads now. They are gone.

Question
Was the player who tackles Noah Cumberland and prevented him kicking the ball in the "protected zone"?

Soldo and Balta both missed sitters from 20 metres out ... this is the heartbreaking stuff ...

Balta just has no footy IQ
If he bothered to turn around immediately after his mark, he would have had Cumberland clear running into an open goal, and then he takes too long and turns it over.
Plain stupid and cost us the win.
This always pees me off. Every player who marks near the forward 50, the first thing you should always do is turn to see what's available.

Its Dimmas fault for gifting Sheds games. Its Dimmas fault for playing an injured slow ruckman in the fwd line. Its Dimmas fault for persisting with Balta as a fwd when he clearly doesnt have the mental smarts for it. Should i continue?
I don’t remember Sheds missing a simple set shot this evening; Soldo’s miss from short range had nothing to do with his speed, and Balta’s lack of forward craft wasn’t the cause of him fluffing an opportunity for goal.

Our continued misses for goal are errors in skill and execution, and Dimma certainly isn’t teaching them how to kick poorly or into the the man in the mark.

But by all means, keep rolling out why Dimma is responsible for every mistake on the field. I’d love to read something you have already written 1000 times.
