Team selections once again played their part in the loss.
Just a fumbling mess atm.
Conditions were perfect for MRJ, Riewoldt and Ross
Mj hardly touched it in vfl, that's 3 in a row stinky games.
Ross was a disgrace best previous week

Cotchin 5 touches as sub, really really poor game.
You cant have a 30+ that can no longer move as your sub expecting an impact. MRJ coming in as the sub is ecaxtly what this game needed. Coaches arent reading the room anymore

do they have a barn with a broad side,

And train to miss it in Blacktown?

Sheil, treloar, tarranto, hopper.

Jeez.

Cant expect to win when we only play for a quarter.

We are not a wet weather side anymore and our two losses have been in the wet
The reality is not many games are played in the wet. With a dry footy we made them look second rate. I’m still confident we can be a contender, we just need luck with injuries.

How many games need to be decided by putrid *smile* umpiring before Gil finally *smile* off ??

2 goals after 1/2 time is just not good enough.
On tonight's form we are not final 8 contenders.
Now we face Sydney next week with more injuries it would appear.

Said it before.
Our best is as good as anyone, our worst is deplorable.
I still think there is a chance we will make a run at some stage this season.

We just don’t play good wet weather footy like we used to. Plus the umps had a big day in that result.
We don't play good football for enough of the game regardless of the weather. The frees were there, so the umpires pay them. Our poor structure around the ground cost us. Our smaller men (runners) were rarely front and centre, or our backs were never behind the marking packs in the wet where the ball always goes over the back. Our ball transfer was not AFL standard and stymied our forward passages of play.

As for the centre bounces early in the last quarter when the game was on the line we were out muscled. They wanted it more than what we did.

All said and done at this point of the season we do not look like a finals side.

Hopefully that will change in the next few rounds!
