Game day Tigers V The World

Had a Geelong supporter flash a brown eye towards me as I was about to drive out of the car park. Stay classy Handbaggers.

Marvellous what it means when you get the free kicks you are entitled to and win the free kick count.
Wonder if the Club has had a word to the umpires department?

I haven’t read this thread so apologies if already mentioned but I was busy last night celebrating after attending the game.
Things I really liked last last were
1. We were smashed in clearances in the first half and we turned it around, 22-23 after halftime. Credit to the players but also to the coaches.
2. The cats continually intercept marked in the first quarter and you could see a change in tactic from the 2nd quarter onwards. Bring it to ground, compete and swarm. That’s the Richmond way. I thought Jack was outstanding with that as were Ryan and Miller when they were there.
3. The biggest change from the disastrous Suns game was pressure on the opposition in transition. The cats still picked through us sometimes but our pressure when we didn’t have the ball was so much better

I was so impressed by how hard our undersized and outnumbered forwards worked to get the ball to the ground after their intercept marking was a real issue early on.

If we only won one more game for the year this was it..unbelievably great night at the footy. :)
I haven’t been to that many games since the pandemic but it was so great last night to just be amongst all the tiger supporters on a Friday night and to have a big win . Sang the song with gusto
We have outstanding supporters. We are 2-5-1 before that game but we turn up and support our team like no others imo.
Truly a Tiger army

Scats supporters carrying on about no free kick against Dusty late in the game. They have had the most protected group in recent history, Dangerfield, Hawkins and Sellwood.

Every free kick not given to Geelong for a push is a down payment to compensate for the freebie goal Dangerfield got for flopping just before halftime in the 2019 prelim imo :ROFLMAO:

Had a bloody great night. So much fun. Great win, 4 q effort, first 2 goals last quarter was the happiest iv been for a while. Vibe at the pullman after the game was like a final, French champagne top shelf scotch all over the shop. Loved it
Yeah but did you get lucky? ;)

Reckon the end is nigh for McIntosh, back to being a liability with the ball.
Not too sure about that Scoop. here are his results from last night.
You can see them on the match report.

What a great night at the footy.

I've been to every horrible game in Melbourne this year, and this was the first time it felt like an event.

The only thing I like watching as much as a Richmond win, is a Geelong loss, and I got to see both.

I savoured every ounce of pleasure in serenading the Geelong rats who deserted early to scurry back up their highway to bogan town.

And what a reward to see Cotchin, Martin and Jack kick 9 goals on the MCG. I pointed out to a mate that we may never see them do anything like that again, and how awesome it was to see them do it for what is essentially an encore.

Heart and Soul stuff for a supporter. Fabric of a footy club. The champs celebrating goals together in front of the army is the kind of gift that transcends wins and losses. Premierships are statistical unicorns, this stuff is why footy exists.

The true romance of footy that the nonces on the media who wanted Jack and Cotchy benched this year don't understand.
