Game Day Tigers v Lions

Why does it always happen to us?
We win by 242 points, they still find votes for opppstion.
Against Collingwood They didn't score for 3 hours but still got 2 players in the top 3.
Adams and Howe.
We lose by a point and we never get votes.

Maybe, a mild irritance perhaps, but for mine i dont care if we get votes after a game, or the Brownlow.

We want the Silverware and we want #13.

Screw subjective "votes" ;)

The tiges made plenty of mistakes tonight; but there were also quite a few mechanisms on display that have become staples of the Richmond brand.

Team pressure, owning the corridor, intercept marking and scintillating link up plays that included deft handballs at the right moment to exit the backline, general congestion or to create speedy forward thrusts were all on display.

It’s easy to be critical of some of the players that are either still learning or not quite up to the status of some of our real life demi-gods; however if the team continues getting better incrementally throughout the remainder of the season it will be a death of a thousand cuts to anyone who gets in their way come finals time, like in 2019.

Charlie Cameron is scarred. He can see tiger jumpers in his nightmares. Dimma figured he didn't need to waste Grimes on him.

Neale is the least effective player for the possessions he gets against us. It's like he's playing tennis against a wall. But he'll get 3 brownlow votes for tonights game.
By not getting Grimes I think we went deeper into his head. We just rotated players through him like he was a B Grader. Reckon it rattled him as he was completely ineffectual

That was a very satisfying win. Good win to bank too.

A solid game where the pressure was on, some stand out performances - Dusty as usual, Bakes is splendid, Balta is one hell of a key back, Shai owning the midfield, plenty more too.

I thought Brisbane had better chances to kick goals than in the QF. We really forced them wide and a long way out in the QF, but they were still getting low quality shots on goal. I'm sure there are those at Brisbane who realise this, but they certainly don't have the forwards to change it.

The umpiring, hmm, worse than usual which is saying something. The soft 50m penalties, including one to us, were just embarrassing. Those 2 deliberate out of bounds in the 2nd? quarter, a joke. The whole holding the ball clusterf***, they seriously have to fix that, it truly has become a complete farce. Why would you attempt to gather the ball with the way they are interpreting it, then again, if you run at the ball and get tackled you get pinged at the moment. Seriously it has become a blight on the game. Hope Clarko is happy now, 'cos everyone else is just embarrassed.

A complete performance, super rapt with the way the boys went about it. Total smashing.

Charlie "goes missing" Cameron think he has nightmares playing Richmond

I had a great time tonight. So proud of the boys for their effort tonight. An undermanned tigers team just doubled the score of a premiership fancy. And boy do I love giving it to the Lions fans who really don't appreciate what its like to be passionate about your club.

Baker was immense tonight. Bolton, Balta, Jack and Lynch too. Love seeing Lynch with his angry pants on.

My downside is a possible fractured hand from smacking the bar sitting on top of the top tier fence. Thanks goes to O'Gorman for his disgraceful deliberate out of bounds calls which were first class *smile*

100%. Spot on. Loved it by the coaching staff. Didnt get sucked into the build up of the grimes match up. Just played our system which stood up again.

Found a picture of EzyT enjoying the game

Great post, Antman. I wanted to post it myself if I knew how. Now I Just need to know - is that really you, Ezy, the Tiger King of Metricon?

Someone should remind fagan that his forwards were thrashed, our mids were far more effective and his backs were thrashed. Only winner he had was the ruck.

He wasn’t alone. Lyon couldn’t shut up about it the whole game. Geez Richmond being good cuts him up since he wrote that piece about melbournes list being in better shape.

That must be some top shelf sanitiser.

I upped the ante last night.

took a big pumper full and hit it early through nerves.

had a ball.

have to apologise to a lions mate this morning who I sent an inappropriate text to aurally vilifying Harris Andrews, who I like.

Charlie Cameron must've ridden off on his motorcycle after his goal because he wasn't spotted after that ...
