Game day Tigers v Hawks

Was a good solid win, got ahead, and then went further ahead. Nice.

It was certainly obvious that the City End was the scoring end, Lot of wind and it was heading that way.

As Dimma said, a few things to work on. Some of the handpasses were going to team-mates' feet and they need to get better. Yes, it is hard under pressure but we do need to improve.

Get a few players back, Grimes and Martin would be good, and we can make trouble in the Finals.

Umpiring? What a mess. What was it, 4-13 frees after half time? They had no idea what prior opportunity means, all over the place. Shouldn't expect better, they only ever deliver inconsistency. Lynch gets pushed over when walking back after a mark, they have given a 50m penalty for much less many many times this year, no doubt against us. Just not good enough for a professional competition, needs to be fixed.

Now, let's destroy Essendon as a warm up for finals.

Cool day at the MCG But didn't get rained on so that was a bonus.

But performance does. The old cliche applies here. Don't flirt with form. Regardless of what we think about the close losses it's only the last 2.5 matches we have been purring. We can have a rest like the other 8 finalistsin two weeks. (Just occurred to me that gives Dusty three more weeks to get the hammy
Yeah nah, I was referring to the last quarter, not next game. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

No resting. The week off before the finals negates the need for resting players. We have momentum and need to keep it. No flirting with form.
Maybe you misunderstand what I said. I wasn't referring to the next game, just in the last quarter, don't push the guns too much and tempt fate, which is what happened I think.

Alright let’s *smile* go.

Let’s *smile* go.

We were unbelievably sharp today. Miller in ruck support, Balta, Baker and Taz settled down back, Rioli on fire off D50, Tigga toughing it out, Cotchin and Prestia at the top of their games, Bolton the best player in the league, Lynch a colossus, MRJ and Cumbo providing spark, Pickett and KMac as honest a pair of wingmen you’ll ever, ever see.

Just all part of the most beautiful of machines at the moment. We are gliding across the turf. If we were a horse you’d be laying at every bookie you could find.

This could be something special.

Dan Rioli again was immense. David King needs to open his eyes if he thinks that Sinclair and Saad impacted their games as much as Rioli does for us. IMO easily the most impactful half back this year.

I agree Rioli is the most impactful HF but I must say that David King praises D Rioli at every opportunity, so much so he has him in his all-Australian side

Cowardly by Sam Mitchell today. Shades of Zach Dawson with Denver Grainger-Barras & James Blanck.

James Sicily is talked up as an All Australian but didn’t go near Lynch besides one contest he got flogged in. I don’t care he’s 12 cms shorter, he’s the senior player. Take the hit to your ego, be a leader. When Serong kicked his first goal in AFL today, every player got to him, besides one. The big Sici/Sissy. Cowards. Dark day for Hawthorn, they shelved CJ & Mitch Lewis for the rest of the year despite both being 90% good to go. And feed their youngsters to Lynch.

One to watch, Finn McGuiness did a fine job on Bolton. But we monstered them, owned, told them what bunk to sleep in.

Almost 60K, terrific crowd. 8th V 13th and it had more than last night Dees (3rd) V Blues (7th) 55K
I’m curious , what was todays crowd in terms of all home and away games between Richmond v Dorkthorn.

We had 70k a couple of years ago but I reckon today was top 10 all time. Army is coming.

Can we get 75k next week? Maybe.

Wasn't Sicily switched onto Lynch only in the last quarter?

There were hardly any Essendon fans at marvel today although it was in the 2nd half when I turned it on and they may have all gone home by then

And we have the biggest wild card still up our sleeve.

Yes, I would say top 10. A very impressive crowd considering it was 8th V 13th, a very pro-richmodn crowd today.

HOME GAME (highest) 70701, R3,2018
AWAY GAME (highest) 66305, R18,2015

Bombers home game and on big footy on attendances thread, some bombers posters are saying after today's pathetic performance they won't come in any big numbers.
50-55K I reckon (weather permitting). Now, if it was our home game 65K+

Only 20K at marvel. That attendance number seemed generous, looked less than that.

Said something similar in my first post, but didn't use the word cowardly, but your word is probably right.

Even with Grainger Barras, why were the jobs on Riewoldt and Lynch initially given to Blanck and Jeka?? They had Grainger Barras who was a Pick 6 and they give the job on Lynch to a couple of rookies?? Seriously. WTF did he expect to happen.

Said the same after the Serong goal. All Siciliy did was jog back to the goal square with Lynch whilst every other Hawk ran to congratulate him. and Sicily is lauded as a future captain of that club. Bulldust if thats the camaraderie he wants to show.
