This has been a shellacking across most lines. A few defenders can hold their heads up.
A further lesson to take out of tonight - stop relying on a tall defender and a young ruck to be key forwards.
Miller isn’t a forward or ever will be. Then why ask him to play on an intercepting defender in Andrew’s who peels off him repeatedly because he knows Miller can’t hurt him offensively.
Ryan looks infinitely better in the ruck than he does forward. His lack of body strength & contested overhead ability (which I hope improves) hinders him. Who knows if he’ll ever have forward smarts.
It then defaults back to Jack who’s struggled in recent weeks.
Highlights our dearth of key forwards. Nothing at VFL level apart from speculative players like Bauer or Nyuon.
