GAME DAY – R14 Tiges v Blues

Listened to 5 minutes of Maher and Gaze, their guest Josh Jenkins was asked if the Geelong players practice moving their fingers (in relation to the Broad/Newnes thing)

Jenkins sensibly laughed it off and said that sort of talk is nonsense. Maher still whingeing “I know Richmond fans are testy on social media and I know people say “move on” but if the AFL put out a press release that says they’ve got slo mo high def footage when the ARC checks a goal then why don’t we see that?”

Btw, this game was 4 days ago…..

Where was the outrage when it happened to us in 2017 vs GWS away, when Bolton kicked the goal, it was overturned, and the Giants took it end to end and Cameron kicked a goal and we got done?

thing that also annoyed me about that, was how the umpire rushed the ball back to the goal square as quickly as possible, and gave the Giant kicker the ball straight away- we never had the chance to set up defensively, and from memory we didnt even get th chance to man the mark.

they, sensibly, changed their approach at some point, and now they give everyone the chance to set up properly.

He didn't say a word about the number of goals they got from 50mtr penalties the 1st time we played them this year.

Maher is, was & always will be a absolute goose.

I mentioned the narrative’ when a caller called SEN stating we were training this…

Then on the Run Home I heard that there was an AFL Great who mentioned that this was being trained.

The Great was Melb’s Nathan Jones.

Why didn’t they say , Melb might have been training this but as Josh Jenkins when pressed by the Andy’s if he has seen it or if he trains this at the Cats basically had to stop himself I reckon from going hard ..and when the Andy’s mentioned it was Melb’s Nathan Jones he said ‘ I think the players have other things to work on at training’.

Can’t believe it’s still getting airwaves…

We have been on the receiving end of these calls and there is not much that can be done when the technology is either flawed, not used or vision not disclosed( whether existing or not).

But Nathan Jones.. yeah 300 more games than me but really, this is trained?????????????????????????

Carlton were lucky they were so close to us when it should have been a 60 pt thumping and people like SEN’s Whateley and Maher and Richmond hater Dunstall , this wouldn’t have raised a ‘sweat’ otherwise…

Because everyone found that funny because it was Richmond. I'm sure there were people saying "oh Richmond, please never change" as we screwed things up again.

Oh, yes. Mince was in love with the descriptor "Richmondy" back then.

Forget the muppets, they are irrelevant.

The biggest issue I had with Thursday night was that we were a 6-7 goal getter side and won by 15 points. We are consistently turning comfortable wins into closer games than we should.

We were far better around the ground for the majority of the game against the bloos. Despite the moaning there is no way they deserved to win that game.

Has anyone bothered to ask Broady if he touched the ball?

“Speaking to Fox Footy after the 15-point victory, Richmond defender Nick Vlastuin explained that Broad was confident he had touched the footy, despite the lack of conclusive evidence.

“Broady ran out saying, ‘I told you, I told you pricks’,” Vlastuin said.

“He was definitely adamant.” “

I guess that’s all part of the acting. He trains pretending touching kicks, then he acted as if he touched it on the day and the club keeps up the charade by lying about it post game.
It is a very elaborate ruse to steal a game and very well executed.

Totally agree he is a goose of the highest order

When stafford retired, he took his boots off and placed them in the centre circle and walked off the ground to the then rooms we used on the southern stand side
No one was told what they were doing, apparently Maher was doing a piece on Stafford retiring and they were going to film him walking off for the very last time and then zoom in on the boots

As we were walking across the ground we seen the boots and as we normally do, we pick up the players equipment that's left behind
all of us sudden Maher appeared out of no where and was going off at us frothing at the mouth, yelling at us to put the boots back,
the head trainer went straight for him and told him what he could with himself, Maher *smile* himself and apologised and only then tried to explain what they were doing

He seriously is a major flog , how hard would would it have been to be polite and tell us instead of losing his mind
shows what a flog he is

The head trainer shoulder have used the boots and given him a 3 minute flogging around the head with them.
How has Spudhead Maher made a living from being in the media? One on the great conundrums of the universe.

Maher has made a living as a parasitic entity, draining the talent around him.

He is the most vacuous non-personality to have several platforms from which to radiate nothingness. The only time he ever formulates an opinion on the game is when he’s wrong, and even then, he panders, and then immediately defers, to the first footballer to contradict him.

But I suppose it’s better than being Kane Cornes.
