That's not how fingers work.
I think I might have to lunge at a kick at goal soon. I had better do sparkle hands. The whole concept is laughable.

I would suggest that in the split second of time available, players are thinking about other ways to actually impact the play, if they are thinking about anything at all. An attempted smother is amongst the more instinctive things that happen on a footy field.

Oh aren’t they. Whinging over the umpiring. They r lucky that wasn’t a 10 goal margin. They have a tough run home with injuries - I reckon they might be tightening up the old blue bagger supporters.

It reminds me of round 1 in 2018. They got the first 5 goals, but probably 3 were from frees or 50s. Yet we won by 5 goals so it was a 10 goal thumping after the first 12 minutes.

It was 36 scoring shots to 20 after we gave them a headstart. Yet Blues supporters were talking about how good they were. Delusional.

76 inside 50s (50% more) and only win by 15 points. Happy with the 4 points, but gee we always make it hard for ourselves. We really have to clean up our movement going forward.

I know Dusty hasn’t been playing at his best, but his delivery going forward is just about the best of anyone in the league and we need him fit and firing in our run for september.

On the touched thing, I’ll be honest… I don’t think the goal review should be used for touched off the boot. That should be left to the field umpire if he sees or hears a deflection. Anything else is guesswork. The goal review should only be used for touched on the goal line or to see if it hit the post.

These regular 5 goal fade outs are doing my head in. Agitating my spleen as well.

From the time Carlton kicked their first goal til when there was about 2 minutes left, I was nervous. Many would argue it was a typical Richmond win, but the 2 Carlton games in 2022 reminded me of 2013 when we played Carlton 3 times, built a big lead early in all 3 games and they came hard at us in the second half. We held on in one of them but lost the other 2.

F**^* them did they whinge about the 8 X 50 metre penalties and 5 in the backs paid to Cerra in round 1.
We should've slapped them by 10 goals
We stop blank at 5-6 goals.
We just needed 1 more goal in the 2nd qtr tp push the margin into the 40's and they wouldve shat the bed.
It would help if our defenders learnt to punch the ball through for a behind.
And Cotchin efforts to tackle Martin was very poor.
Overall good win.

Cripps all of sudden thinks his *smile* dosent stink.
Never saw him carrying on like last night when Carlton were holding up the ladder.

A win's a win but Blues had no backline. 76 inside 50s. Forward line is an area we can vastly improve.
Delivery into the fwd line was also to blame...same old "just bomb it long" made it so easy to pick off when the Blues had an extra man back. Maybe our fwds had little space to lead into? Need to check the replay. We are too predictable going fwd.

Its remarkable how people get it into their heads that players have time to think before doing these acts. Its not like he has an age to think, should I wiggle my fingers etc, it was a split second thing all he'll do is put his hands in the way. Just ridiculous how people come up with things like this, without thinking about the time required.
Exactly right posh. He's not standing on the mark with a lot of time to think "Oh, I might wave my fingers now". Biggest laugh on SEN this morning was from a Cartoon moron who said he spent all night zooming in as close as he can and confirmed it wasn't touched. The reason Broad's fingers move is because of the to and fro action from arc.

That first female caller was the most laughable. Had 3 whinges especially on Grimo who, IMO, used the tactic to get a 50 when turning his back on the Blooze player. It's tactics moron!!

Saw tonight what others had seen for some time…the hatred for Silvagni! Really wanted to see Nank break him in half.
It worries me when we let ourselves be drawn into hating a player (no matter how annoying), because it seems acceptable to everyone else. It happened with Goodes, it’s happening with Ginnivan, too - a widespread acceptance that he’s someone we can all get stuck into.

We might only intend for it to impact his play. But these are young men, and as we know bullying can cause massive impacts on mental health.

It seems as though the media never really let Richmond simply enjoy a victory. Reminds of earlier in the year when they highlighted a dodgy 50 that Prestia got for faking a handball despite players from every other team doing it in the previous 3-4 weeks.
Funny that. When we win it's either how bad was the opposition or they question a dodgy free kick or 2.

Highly unlikely the Dynasty can rekindle after this season , too many stars will retire or start to drop off , in saying that there was a few cubs last night who showed they have enough to be Premiership players , Baker and Bolton continue to show there going to be very good for a long time , Gibcus, MJ, Clarke and Hugo all continue to improve and look like they can be 100 gamers , the worry is that we don’t appear to have a Jack replacement and I don’t think there’s a lot to work with with the Cubs outside of last years draft through the midfield

Voss's comments smack of someone who realises that his team aren't up to it and is seeking to deflect away from a game where they should of lost by more. Teams don't win flags off clearances, they win them off turnovers. Carlton do a lot of the former, and not much of the latter.

It still blows my mind that people are questioning this.

It was clearly touched.

Clearly.

There are so many other more contentious things in a game than that.

Really poor form by Voss, who also knows it was obviously touched, but chose to be salty about it instead.

Chris Scott level.
No, not touched, just the wind blowing his fingers around. :sarcasm
