GAME DAY !!!! Premiers v Pensioners

If one of Aarts, Rioli or Castagna is not dropped for next week then im starting to lose faith in the coaching and selection committee

Some real passengers tonight.

But it’s time to move on from Ross and Mansell.

And Castagna has been woeful this year too.

Is it me or is McIntosh basking in his glory. He should know what its like to miss success yet he is playing soft for a big guy right now.
Must be you I reckon. He put his body on the line tonight like he always does.

Not the worst outcome. 2 or 3 picks spread over this year or next sets us up for our next premiership
As crazy as that sounds i think the club in the next 2 years has to look at some of these decisions to bring in some talent. No more Aarts picks please. Also the Egg selection was a shocker. Cocky pick. Leave it open and take someone mid season

Absolutely spot on. People think we will just magically click our fingers towards the end of the year and win another Grand Final.

I don't honestly think too many people believe that Dimma.

Maybe we are in decline, maybe we have been worked out, it happens to every team.

The point is though that similar 'poor starts' to the season have happened to us for the last 3 years. The evidence is that we have recovered and won two flags in that time.

To me, this suggests that I am waiting until about 3 games after the bye to feel I know where we are heading.

Really?

We've got the easiest draw in the competition from this point on and 4 or 5 blue chip players to come back, plus Vlastuin underdone.

We've got work to do but we've been here before and know how to time a run.

And we've got MRJ to inject.
Bookmark it.
They only thing I know more about football is the RFC. I can tell you that effort was as poor as it comes.
I mean what the *smile*, did Kane pettifer just walk back into the club?

Another *smile* pathetic performance where most players didnt turn upto play
Anychance we can play another ruck and let them rest forward giving us another marking option?

Make no mistake we are at the cross road of being smart about it and quickly rejuvenating the side or we stick loyal and drop off a cliff very quickly. Club and coaches need to make some hard calls. Chaos footy is over and the players we picked to play it are no longer delivering
Edwards made a comment last week about it being good to be the hunters for once. Tonight we looked tired of being hunted. The will to work through it wasn’t there. Lot of disposal not going to the advantage of teammates.

Not worried about the 4 points but worried about our injuries to our mids.

Anyone at the game can you tell me what ‘role’ castagna is playing these days? I am not being a smart arse. I just don’t understand how a senior player can disappear so effectively??

Fair points but my concern is that unlike other years our last 2 losses have come after we have thrown everything at the opposition and then theyve steadied and steamrolled us. In other years we just didnt play well and when we did bring the pressure NO ONE steadied and spanked us. Worrying signs this year. Im just hoping the drop off isnt a quick and ugly one.

Spot on.
We have 6 picks under 50 currently
If Bolton does decided to leave.
There's another first rounder.
Go and get Green.
If your not going to select Cj trade him.
We have options.
Its not like we fall off the end of a cliff.

We've had a bloody hard start to the season. And copped Sydney when they were unexpectedly red hot. Port, geelong and Melbourne we were their grand final.

Easier games on the horizon, but need to tweak some things structurally.

We need to investigate if CCJ is dating the former Mrs Hardwick. Nank needs a chop out and Marlion needs to get back to breaking opponents on the wing.

It is only May. Blooding a few players does not help as they just do have the big bodies. Ross did not stand up again so in Caddy. Titch injury a worry. Another thing Nank busting his guts out with no back up of his size. Pickett aint the answer & who ever thought of that needs to give up his day job.
