GAME DAY Jacks 300th V Lions

Greg Swan has suggested they bring the pre-finals bye forward to next week so everyone can take stock and have a breather. Seems like a good idea so unlikely the AFL will do it.

We should request all our home games at Metricon for the rest of the season.

The thing with Brisbane is they are incredibly 1 dimensional and it was on display again last night. Beat a team up around the contest and score more heavily from clearances. Match them in scores from those stoppages (which we almost did last night, we were real close to them in scores from stoppages) then you tend to win as they don't score as heavily as other teams from turnover.

This is why they won't win a premiership the way they are playing. Also a reason why they struggle in finals, as the intensity rises, so does the ability of the other team in clearances (see Richmond in and out of finals the last 4 years).

It’s a great idea. But as you mentioned unless it’s the idea of SHocking or Gill it won’t be utilised.

Kidney for me for Dusty .............just seen him point in that area to Jack before the song......... Top Stuff Tiges, well done lads.
"Scans have revealed Dustin Martin has suffered a kidney injury in last night’s match against Brisbane."

It shall be Dr Jack MD from here on out Thank You and where do I apply for a pay rise also ?

Do you bulk bill? Mates rates?
I may need some assistance. Just like the Tiges. Something to help rise to the occasion due to sustaining multiple injuries.

The crowd was fine 4,119 with the majority being tigers. We are a Victorian based team after all. Lions home state and were well outnumbered. So where were they? Someone needs to ask Kane Cornes ;)
The one man Brisbane Cheer Squad said when asked where the rest of them were “This is not our home ground.”
Rallied a few ring-ins from surrounding seats to make up the numbers.

We can't take a trick with these stupid umpires.

Kmacs ability to just get the ball or put pressure from the wings is hurting.

But........

We are in with this.

Backline has not been disgraced, just had a few things go against them.

I'd love to see Stack, Bolton, Parker and Pickett start in one centre bounce just for fun.

D4M knows he needs to lift, I am pretty sure he is going to come out and remind people just how good he is.

We are having a crack, not an ideal prep but we are still in this, we know we can win, just have to fight hard to find a way to do it.

Centre Clearances are 11-6 - Fix this and we are a big show.

Whoever is watching over us, please.........that's all I ask...........please.
They answered MT.

It was good to see us sort out centre clearances after half time. Daisy made mention of it. I think it was 3/4 time and she said we didn’t lose a centre clearance in the 3rd quarter; which we dominated.

Good things happen when you win centre clearances. I’d really like to see more focus on this going forward. We need to recruit more genuine mids in this years draft. The mids that won us 3 flags are ageing, injured or both.

Lions have two problems. They can't handle genuine heat and they can't play away from the Gabba.

The heat we brought last night was chalk and cheese to the gabba earlier in the year.

They’ll drop off very quickly when they start losing a few games. They’re band wagonners.

And risk a player getting concussion in a PF and missing the GF.
No
F**kin

Daisy Pearce making Taylor and Brayshaw sound like the blithering idiots they are.
If being an AFL commentator is about correctly calling and observing the state of the game (rather than toe-ing the anti-Richmond party line) then surely that "they've had a charmed run" comment from Taylor is a sackable offence? We had more than our fair share of injuries early on in both of the last two seasons and it's been even worse this year.
Just NO IDEA Brian.
And he said "Jack Hawkins" kicks 6 in his 300th game at the end ! Flogernator is BT.

He got a promotion. Did you want to give him Burge's job?
No, but I didn't know that, but do you know for certain that we couldn't have retained him on an improved/extended role? Do you want Sydanee to excel ahead of us? Not that for one moment I would want to lose Burge or have him demoted; believe he has been excellent for us.

But it looks like that's happening, with several other clubs grabbing some of our proven quality staff, due to several factors this being one. What about all the other great ACs we have lost? So you think that's no issue? Want to respond to any of my questions to ask of BG specifically?

Who are we replacing him with? Someone of high calibre? Nobody ... yet? So we are a povo club now, are we? Bet the vast number of paid up members must be overjoyed with this tight-ars policy approach if that's what we are seeing. Exodus only or predominantly?
