Oooooo....that might be a bit knee jerk! Richmond had the least time to prepare for the season, and played more games than any other team over the last 4 years........something had to give at some stage.Yes - Burge needs to go after this year

The injuries I can understand, its the reoccurrence that's the issue. Prestia, Lambert, Vlaustin and Shedda all suffered reoccurrences and Lynch had to be operated on mid year for a long-term injury. Clearly the rehab program and conditioning to return players is not up to the previous standard. That's nothing to do with time to prepare for the season or number of games played. Burge should go for sure.Oooooo....that might be a bit knee jerk! And risk a player getting concussion in a PF and missing the GF.
No
F**kin
Chance
The new concussion rules mean a player misses automatic 10 days.Don't follow
I don’t follow this either. Preliminary finals are either played on the Friday night/ Saturday before the grand final the following Saturday. There is no 10 day break between the 2 games anywayThe new concussion rules mean a player misses automatic 10 days.
If they bring the pre finals bye forward and there is no break between the PF & the GF, it removes that 10 day break.
No way the AFL take that chance of having a star miss a GF.
Another reason why I think the pre finals bye is here to stay for good.
Nailed it. Lazy pricks only look at champion data stats. The Age today gave the tigers best
BEST: Tigers: J Riewoldt, M Chol, J Short, K Lambert, S Bolton.
Don’t they watch the game, Short got plenty but his kicking at the moment is quite awful - Chol was good but where’s the Nank tank ffs.
Without Nank, I doubt we would have won that game. With Nank, I doubt we would have lost to the Suns and Pies.
As Legend says, there is no break between PF and GF so anyone concused in the PF will miss the GF. The bye is after round 23 before the finals. So by bringing forward the bye, the only risk is a player getting concussed in round 23 having to miss the first week of finals. The new concussion rules mean a player misses automatic 10 days.

Stacky had some important moments too. Daniel bloody good off half back. Great effort from a decimated backline.
Unrelated, I reckon Starcevich has been belted in the head 2 weeks in a row. And both times he's looked more dazed and confused than Jimmy Page but never goes off under concussion protocols.
I bet it's not mentioned and he plays next week
Just testing to see if you were all paying attention.I don’t follow this either. Preliminary finals are either played on the Friday night/ Saturday before the grand final the following Saturday. There is no 10 day break between the 2 games anyway
I noticed a couple of times the bris players moved off the mark the moment our guys played on, not waiting for the umpire's call. Anyone else notice this, is this another new rule or will it be rule of the week next week when we try and employ it?
He lives in Brisbane, brain would be wasted up there anyway. That's fine, it's only his brain after all
It's actually sufficient to make the man stand the mark and not at a 45 degree angle that cuts off the inward kick.In hindsight, there was nothing wrong with the old rule - 50 m penalty if you moved forward off the mark.
My guess is they are lax on that rule, they don’t want to pay a 50 m penalty unless they absolutely have to - the penalty is clearly excessive for the impact a step or two has on the game.
