Game Day: Crows v Tigers

Great to hear Broady interviewed saying that he is relishing taking on a leadership and mentoring role to help develop the young guys, as are Dion and we've seen it with Dusty as well and no doubt others such as Grimes.

Invaluable for the likes of Brown to learn from these legends.

This is what a team like North lacks.

This was Yze’s coaching challenge once finals were off.

Have the older blokes get excited by helping and seeing the improvement in the younger blokes and giving the rest of the season meaning.

Seems to be a coaching wiz and got this happening massively in a couple of weeks. Very impressive.

The first gamer who had the set shot to get them within a kick with 2 or 3 minutes left, crapped his pants, you knew he'd spray it as soon as he went back from his body language, I was rapt he sprayed it, but I actually felt for him.

How funny was Darcy's commentary. Something like "the first gamer has a chance to go back and be a hero". Erm, we are winning by 9, when did a goal become worth 10 points? Maths not his strongest skill I'd guess.

Lots of positives today but we do need to keep this performance in perspective a little.
I believe Adelaide was the youngest team of the round. They have lost a few key personnel & have dropped off a cliff.
Sure it's a start & hopefully we build from here with a few guns of our own returning but an in form Hawks will be a bigger test.
Yeh, it is great to win for the morale of the boys but that was a very poor Adelaide side. The win was led by the senior heads.

Can see how important retaining Baker/Bolton is.

It was good to see Seth/Miller/Cumbo have good games.

Off topic, but from where I sit Darcy is thick as a brick. He sounds good, has the voice etc, but seems to be incapable of listening. He'll ask a question but won't listen to the response. For example:

Darcy: How is your team mate player A going with his rehab?

Player: Great, he's been working a lot with player B who is also going well with his rehab, we hope to have them both back in a couple of months.

Darcy: And how is player B going with his rehab? and when do you expect him back?

(Player and Darcy's co commentators look uncomfortable)

Player; Um. Going really well, back in a couple of months hopefully...

Darcy ploughs on as if nothing has happened. I've seen him do it half a dozen times.

Been touched on elsewhere but I reckon we should always wear that strip when we play the Crows. Brings back fond memories and must mess with their heads as well.

I always thought port players were divers but I didn't realise the Crows were huge divers as well, they were just flopping every where last night. Is it a SA thing ??

So we only got half an injury from the game? Meatball with a sore calf but should be fine?

Yeah I’m calling *smile* on that one. Get Johnny Ralph down there to find out which promising youngster snapped his ACL like a dry twig.

How good is the world after a Rfc win?

Interstate, even better!

Now Tiges, for my personal mental health (and some others here!:))), Please take note.

NEVER, Ever, Never, EVER, lose Eight in a row again!
Ok?

Thank You.
World Harmony is restored. Well, mine anyway!

Apart from Soligo, Rachelle and Dawson I cant think of anyone I would want in our side. Dark days for tem too.

Gold Coast youngest 24yrs4mths, North & Adelaide 24yrs 8mths. 6 teams younger than Tigers side. But yes Adelaide very inexperienced. Makes it even more incredulous that Tigers were paying $4.50 to win.

Wow - didn’t realise Adelaide were so much in the poo………….still just watched the 2 coaches interviews and I reckon Nicks sounds like he will have a short future as a coach - very very very uninspiring the way he spoke.

very ungracious. essentially said it was theirs to win but blew it, appeared as though no one won, they lost. Is a dud coach with a decent list, imo.

Shhhhhhhhhh
Don’t give the AFL ideas for a rule change

So happy with ALL our young players , we need to stick fat next 2-3 years THEN get a couple of. Free agents
Happy days are acomming )

Bring back the black numbers we won a flag in the strip with black numbers.

That yellow strip looks horrendous with the white numbers. Doesn't need the sash on the back.

It does correlate with our success.

The bright yellow does standout for sure and in the fast-paced environment it no doubt catches the eye of the opposition and probably assists with increasing inferred or indirect pressure.

Once the AFL realizes that, Tigers will be forced to ditch it :))
