FYI 2019 Grand Final - RFC Priority Groups/AFL Grand Final Ticketing

Has everyone on here that has been issued a seat/s re checked their Ticketek account to see if the seats have been pulled or not?

I’m just trying to gage what’s going on ie: if all you lucky ones that have got say Cat 1 or Cat 2 seats still have them showing on your account, and if the rest of us with lower Cat seats are the only ones where the seats have been pulled, then maybe a positive , common sense situation may be developing....

I've had the money charged to the card yesterday but no seats appearing in my Ticketek account yet.

Yes my seats have disappeared from my account.

This is probably a glitch or they released the allocation when they shouldn't and have hidden the code to display them.

The only way previous seat allocations could change is if you have the money on your credit card back. Otherwise lets say your limit was $1000 and they already took out $800 then they arnt gonna issue you new or better seats because you wouldnt have the funds there.

Maybe someones pulled the trigger too early, it wasnt like this in 2017.

I registered 2 ballots. Priority 1 - 1 x Adult & Priority 3 - 3 x Conc.

At this stage, money withdrawn for 1 x Cat 3 ticket only. No specific seats on Ticketek although there seems to be a seating reference number for both Priority 1 & 3 ballots . Not sure what this means.

Looks like we have missed out in the ballot, a mixture of 8 platinum and gold members with reserved seats who attend every game in Melbourne and one interstate trip a year. Absolutely heartbroken...
Does anyone know the answer to this, does a bronze or silver member that has a MRC or above qualify for a P1 entry into the ballot?

Anyone with Maurice Rioli is in the Guaranteed Priority 1 group (This includes Provisional and Tier 1 and Tier 2)

same boat.

Couldn't agree more. Being paying the guarantee since the inception. Have been a member for life, as have all my family.
We buy the premium memberships or Social Club so that we get a guaranteed seat.

Don't get me wrong, I completely love everything about us in a Grand Final and would watch it from anywhere at the G but both years have just been dished up top deck as far back as possible.

We even split the group up into two's in the hope of getting better seats - nope.

Then you read the stories of Priority 2 members getting lower level seating.

Then you read the stories of new 3 game members who just somehow managed to become Rioli members this year who are sitting in prime positions.

It's all dumb luck and pretty disappointing to be honest.
Absolute *smile* bull *smile* it is Mack, I hate sounding like a big sook but fairs fair, we’ve paid and earnt the right to have “decent” seats, I’ll say it again how can a priority 1 member get a seats on level 4, level 4 shouldn’t be an option for the first 10k members

Depends on how you did your application I believe.

Platinum membership would have guaranteed you a ticket. But if the ballot application was done with Gold Memberships as well as Platinum in it then you automatically get dropped down to the priority 3 section.

Thanks Mack
I’m taking it that , as MRC members, you registered in the Priotity 1 window a few weeks back.... the unfortunate thing is if even only one of those 8 memberships doesn’t have MRC, then the system will overlook all of you with regard to a definite ticket (I’m assuming you put all 8 barcodes on the one registration)

Mate, it's disgusting.

The system needs to change.

I’m a Premiership Circle Priority 1 member and got $309 charged to my card yesterday which is a Cat 5 seat. Late yesterday a few hours after the charge I could see a ticket (Q2) allocated in my Ticketek account. Last evening when others said their’s were gone I checked and mine had gone. I’m hoping they upgrade priority 1 tickets if there’s more openings due to GWS getting through. Not hopeful though.

Yes I understand this, we all go together everyweek which is why we entered as a P3 group, I just can’t get my head around bronze and silver members of any kind getting tickets before gold. I realise it’s a business and money talks but I’d love to see how many of these bronze members stick around when we bottom out.

Yeah, I see where you’re come ng from Mack, and you are probably right.....but if it was a glitch, then you would think that everyones displayed seat allocation would disappear?!......
But yes, with relation to the credit card limit issue, I was thinking exactly the same thing......that would be a totally unfair *^*^up

Platinum - (also P1 but possibly processed as P2 - long story). We got restricted view seats second back row of Olympic level 4 next to score board - glad to be going but worst seats in the house. Sucks for how long we've been pumping premium membership into the club. Glass half full - the Tiges made the GF and we are going. I'll actually get to SEE the game on the replay at home later.

I would be very surprised. Unless they take off the credit card charge this could actually disadvantage people who don't have the available funds.

Probably because the trigger was pulled before the GWS game they have some more tickets now that wont be filled by GWS members, I don't know. But could mean more tickets for lower Priority Groups for RFC. Which then obivously means those allocated earlier on higher priorities would end up with worse categories.

That’s my worry Mack. Look, I’m happy to give more RFC members a chance for a ticket but lower priority shouldn’t get better category seats than higher priority ones.

Just to make things even more interesting......if you go onto the Ticketek site, the public can buy tickets from 11am this morning!!!

WTF?......it’s been heavily advertised that general public tickets won’t be available for this event, and that any members must register for the ballot etc.......

If 11am rolls around, and there is the option to get good Cat seats, there will be an uproar.......

Silver and Bronze members couldnt enter the ballot, only Gold and above could.
