FYI 2019 Grand Final - RFC Priority Groups/AFL Grand Final Ticketing

The biggest thing that’s sucks to me with this ticket allocation system, is in our group we are probably not far from total 200 years in memberships and around $20k in memberships per year. Our memberships entitie us to Grand final priority tickets, it’s not just an ad on to basic memberships,. Now I don’t expect our normal seats on level 1 as they are for the corporates, however to allow the system to be able to give us seats at the top of the Ponsford stand is a disgrace , it simply shouldn’t be an option, in fact level 4 shouldn’t be an option at all for those who have paid and earnt the right to get decent seats , level 4 should be for short term members not the long an loyal, we are that far back people watching on TV will know the result before us.

My seats have also disappeared too. Last night I had 3 standing room for my gold members and 2 nosebleed seats from the mrc guarantee .... now it’s just showing the registration details.

What sh*tf**y is going on at ticketed?

Couldn’t agree with you more Mr B
It’s the same deal with me and my family.....my Dad , whom you’ve met, turns 89 soon, has been a member forever etc, was crying tears of joy at the G on Friday night. After checking my account and seeing that we have to get up to the top deck, he is just stressing big time......it’s a disgrace that us long term members that have forked, and continue, to fork out thousands each year, have to go up there.....
What worries me also is that now GWS have got thru, the establishment are going to open up more slots/bays for RFC members (which I have no problem with, and in fact love the fact that there’ll be even more tigers able to go), but there’s a possibility that some that didn’t get a ticket initially may now jag a Cat 1 seat somewhere and we will still be stuck with the nose bleeds cos we’ve already been processed thru the system....
I guess the only thing against that theory, and my fingers are crossed, is that my seats no longer appear on my ticeket account...

Agree. Pretty sure the tickets we’ve got are the ones we are stuck with.

Your old man will be puffing less then me by the time we get to our seats ;)

Has everyone on here that has been issued a seat/s re checked their Ticketek account to see if the seats have been pulled or not?

I’m just trying to gage what’s going on ie: if all you lucky ones that have got say Cat 1 or Cat 2 seats still have them showing on your account, and if the rest of us with lower Cat seats are the only ones where the seats have been pulled, then maybe a positive , common sense situation may be developing....

Anyone else successful have an additional line item on their credit card statement? I've been charged $185 so Cat 7 but above that theirs another Ticketek line with a "+" where the value should be.
Also, why is the two bays behind the goals Cat 7, surely not that bad.

Couldn't agree more. Being paying the guarantee since the inception. Have been a member for life, as have all my family.
We buy the premium memberships or Social Club so that we get a guaranteed seat.

Don't get me wrong, I completely love everything about us in a Grand Final and would watch it from anywhere at the G but both years have just been dished up top deck as far back as possible.

We even split the group up into two's in the hope of getting better seats - nope.

Then you read the stories of Priority 2 members getting lower level seating.

Then you read the stories of new 3 game members who just somehow managed to become Rioli members this year who are sitting in prime positions.

It's all dumb luck and pretty disappointing to be honest.

Looks like we have missed out in the ballot, a mixture of 8 platinum and gold members with reserved seats who attend every game in Melbourne and one interstate trip a year. Absolutely heartbroken...
Does anyone know the answer to this, does a bronze or silver member that has a MRC or above qualify for a P1 entry into the ballot?
