I enjoy watching Lance play when he's on song. He's obviously down on form but he's capable of being a very exciting and dangerous opponent imo.
Agree.

Buddy can be a gun, a freak, we would love him if he was a tiger, this thread is funny, but deep down its hogwosh, and you all know it.

Agree. He's a champion who's a bit off the boil atm. Happens to the best of em.

He is Richo Mark2.
How people can say he is the best player in the comp is just insane.
He is so over rated the Hawks got very luck and won a flag.
If you can not kick the ball you can be not number 1.

Richo was the better player.
He was a better kick, a better mark, and a better athlete.
Richo was the man!!
I'm not biased though ;D

He's a superstar.
Geez, the BULLDOGS would regret not taking him at pick 3.
I reckon that decision cost them a Grand Final place, maybe a flag.
Just sayin' :cutelaugh

Buddy's kicking for goal has been poor, but it is just a confidence thing.

His around the ground play looked alright on the weekend.

Buddy will click in due course, I actually think the failed move to the midfield has effected his forward play, the confidence looks to have taken a definite battering.

agree - the doggies have somehow avoided scrutiny on that one

A frustrated Jake King goes in hard and gives away an (automatic?) free and possibly 50, commentators slate him for being undisciplined and not smart enough. A frustrated Buddy Franklin repeatedly hits late in the marking contests and slings players to the ground well after they have disposed of the ball, Umpires/commentators "Nothing to see here, move along........."

Buddy is on pace to set a new record for most behinds in a season,
He currently has 36 and Sumich has the record for 88 in 1991.

Buddy could also have at least one out on the full per week too. The day it connects for him is carnage for the opposition.

I was listening to 774 in the first half while in transit to a joint with foxtel. And the commentators made mention of Maric getting into our mate Buddy. They went on about how unwise it was to fire up Hawthorn's best player after their poor showing in the first quarter. WRONG. Correct move by the dominant male on the park. Surely enough, minutes into the second quarter, they were calling Maric marking over Franklin. Lance is pretty fragile IMO. Wasn't surprised to see Maric emasculate him.

Couldn't resist on Saturday when Buddy missed a sitter. Yelled out "Tambling would have kicked that". Even the Hawks supporters laughed.

LOL

Can you imagine the amount of heat that would have come Clarkson's way if the Hawks hadn't won in '08? The flag's the only thing that has bought him extra time since then.

Poor kicking by the Cats and clever use of rushing a behind to get a quick restart again won the Hawks the final - I know the margin was about 5 goals in the end, but if the Cats had kicked straight in the 1st half it may have been different.

unfortunately that is the way it goes for jake....its ridiculous the crap he has to cop from the umpires and some commentators...

2 weeks in a row that he has used his hip to nudge a player out of a marking contest and pinged both times - the one on the weekend was ridiculous.

Bad Kicking
Frustrated with umpires

He is turning into the Richo of Hawthorn - except Richo is a nice bloke
