Footy Show

Not one straight answer in that interview, and he pretty much said he'd only take blame for Richmond's crappy recruiting if he could take credit for the Bullddogs being where they are now, inlcuding the recruitment of Cooney and Griffen. Why agree to an interview if you won't answer the questions?

I've never seen anyone look so uncomfortable in a interview like TW did tonight especially regarding the swans/bulldogs saga. And he still refused to answer the Chris Newman question.

Doesnt worry me but gee, he looked like a rabbit caught in headlights there for a while. As for his comment about just wanting to get tomorrow night out of the way - well that just about summed it up for me.

:wave TW. Dont let the door hit you on the arse on the way out.

happy he fessed up on the Doggies

not happy that he squibbed it on:

1) dodged the question on being paid by the Swans

2) dodged the questions of responsibilities of RFC drafting

3) dodged the questions of why he failed

4) left Chris Newman 100% hanging out to dry

disappointing, but not surprising :(

oh, good interview by Sammy :clap

Cannot understand why Wallace did that interview.

He failed to give a straight answer, came across as evasive and cagey and didn't do himself any favors IMHO. Should have remained silent.

I can't help but think that his perpetual spin and lack of honesty seeped in to his coaching and communication with the playing group.

Disappointing.

Terry was squirming in his seat a little.

Perhaps he has haemorrhoids.

I hope it's not too painful for him.

I've tried to stay positive in relation to Wallace, but after that performance I'm glad he is finishing up.
Imagine 4 & a half years as a player having to listen to that sort of dribble.

Well, to me Wallace came off mega bad. Dodged around most questions and failed to take any responsibility for results with Richmond.

What was all that 20 year *smile* about KB and stuff all about?

Garbage Wallace.

he dodged it to the point it was so obvious that he had obviosuly been paid out certain sums of money by the swans, was plain as day.

A bit worried about tomorrow nights game now Wallace's office is emptied.

You'd think he'd leave it until after the game on saturday.

Feel a bit empty now that the players will go through the motions.

Why tonight while he still has a game to coach? If he had to be on, make it at least next week when he's no longer anything at the RFC, would have been far more dignified. Looked decidedly uncomfortable.

Thanks for nothing TW.

I know you did your best but perhaps you could of worked a bit harder. :-\

I bet you enjoyed the $$ paycheck though.

That's what stood out to me. For such a media savvy performer, for him to slip up and say that, showed how rattled he was, and showed what he was truly trying to do.

After that, I'd hope they not give him a going away game, and put in the caretaker for tomorrow night.

Garbage Wallace.

I can't remember how he left after 1 season at the end of 1987 and if KB was part of that reason when he took over in 1987/88 pre-season.

Made it sound like we really needed him when KB took over.

only defence for him with this is that there was probably a confidentiality agreement with the payout which means he can't say anything.

Funny him talking about integrity during that interview. I reckon he lost a truckload of it after that.

was thinking the exact same thing, why hav such an interview when he is still tied to the club?
maybe because he knew if he was interviewed as the RFC coach he would be able to continue to dodge his past screw ups with the bulldogs, SFC and RFC and get away with it rather than commenting as an outsider.

Typical Wallace answering of a question.

"hmm, I understand what you asked, but I'll rephrase the question and answer my own one thanks."

He's done that every week for who knows how long. *smile* off wallet. Good riddance.
