Well, beyond the fact every man and his dog was predicting Hardwick would land at GC 6 weeks before Caro did Tormented Termite (refer Hardwick thread), how’d she go predicting that Simpson would be sacked and Naitanui would be on the list next year ?

On Footy Crapified, Karen's had another swipe at the Hopper/Taranto trades, highlighted how good JHF because he ran away from Dow, and then showed a Balta push in the back against Port that wasn't paid.

Did the knob show Rossie fake his head hitting the grass??
Did he mention that we had 56 inside 50's against a top 4 side??
Did he mention that the umpires played a role in the result?
Did he mention we were 6 pts behind at 3qtr time??

Well, Taranto trade was OK. Hopper trade looking pretty poor after 1 yr.

If we set ourselves up to be laughed at, or commented on, we need to make better decisions and not give this loud mouthed prick more ammunition. Some folks on PRE called out the risk (I didnt) and everything they've said seems justified so far.

If Cornes did it about Cats, we'd be laughing with him.

But they did with Dalhouse & Steven from stkilda.
We aren't they only ones.
 
On footy crapfield I went and checked the fixture because Lloyd kept talking about THIS Friday’s game between Collingwood and Melbourne.

Super pro.

Also on the same show Kornes shows JHF busting through a pack. But he bounces it while he is being tackled. No one on the show calls the obvious rule violation and umpiring miss out. Than the Balta one and umpiring needs to be more consistent. Lol.

IMHO the Taranto trade was much better then Ok, Hoopers is more just ok , yep definitely been disappointing and I’ve been a fan , however has “lots” of time to become a positive trade for us .

Ifs buts and maybes , however fair chance we are playing finals, possibly top 4 if Gibcus , Lynch and Tarrant play the season, then if we came up short the same media sensationalists would be saying “ Richmond had the chance to recruit Hopper who could have been the difference and they failed to get a deal done” . Kornes is the worst of them , just negative clickbaiting dribble who does more harm for footy in general then good .

Thing is a draft pick outside of basically the top 3 we will never know who we would have selected , we also will never know how they would have gone at Punt rd .

For me one year into 7 , Timmy T is a win and will be in the leadership if not Captain next season, Hopper is a loss at this point, however he has time and is more then likely to play more games in the next 6 years then pick 31

She wasn’t alone. Eddie everywhere was adamant Simpson was gone as well and Eddie is never wrong, just ask him.

They are consistent. Pretty sure there was a push in the back against us that wasn’t paid, either. Did Cornes show that?

That's pretty much my thinking as well. But we overestimated the calibre of our list I feel. Old guys get injured. It sounds like Jack and Trent weren't expected to play every game, but I can't see who was going to replace them based off the Hardwick/early Mini part of the season.
Yeah we lost Gibcus, but we gained Young. Who'd have thought that at the start of the year?
We went chips all in on yellow and black, and the house spun up other numbers. I don't think we can be too precious about the media when we run the gauntlet voluntarily.

I never knew the AA Panel was so big:
The selection panel is Gillon McLachlan (chairperson), Eddie Betts, Jude Bolton, Nathan Buckley, Kane Cornes, Andrew Dillon, Glen Jakovich, Laura Kane, Cameron Ling and Matthew Pavlich.

Thats a lot of opinions to satisfy.
