Herald Sun journalist Mark Robinson has slammed Channel Nine, essentially labeling the team hypocrites.

Has anybody noticed Ch9 bias particularly on 6pm News. Being going for months. Lead story MOST nights reports events at COLLINGWOOD no matter what has happened at the other 17 clubs. I've become fixated and even though I could turn off I can't wait to get my daily dose.I can see why. Maybe some falling out due to this story.

Tom Stewart act last year effectively put Prestia out for two matches. Outcome was far worse. I also think the act was worse as Prestia was totally vulnerable.
Whateley never went after Stewart like this and was content with the 4 weeks.

I rate it a worse act than Sonsie’s - Prestia was totally vulnerable and on the back foot.
Outcome also worse. I don’t recall you advocating so strongly for that to be appealed?
Have things changed THAT much In a year?
Also Sonsie does not have the platform to express his remorse, sorrow and regret. He is a really good bloke and it was out of character,

I have a bit of a conspiracy theory.
I think there is very little doubt the AFL approached Dimma last offseason to quit Richmond and join the Gold Coast with the incentive of bags of cash.
I also think the footy industry is an industry that protects its own. I’ve been saying for years it’s a boys club. They especially love their alpha males. Rohan Connolly talks all the time on twitter about how the footy broadcast teams on TV (especially Fox Footy) are full of peacocks.
Before the start of last season Tom Morris was sacked from Fox Footy for awful comments about a female coworker. Then earlier this year, SEN (a media organisation known for giving second chances to ordinary people) signs him up and gives him his own show.
At this point Tom Morris needs to break a big story to help mend his ruined reputation. And voila, in late May, he breaks the story that Dimma is quitting Richmond.
So my conspiracy theory goes like this: The AFL had known Dimma was quitting Richmond for months. Tom Morris is a member of the AFL boys club, and the AFL strategically chose Morris to break the story to help him resurrect his career.
