Footy media , love’m or hate’ m ?

They were just showing the last time they met in the finals.
Grinter was giving them a pep talk.
Not sure why, he was a sniper and a very average footballer.
I was at the written oval 1987 when kod Wallace
Grinter also played in that game. Why couldn't they find footage of him instead of showing Wilson? I'm sure that was Wilson talking to the players.

Grinter was talking to the players. Ok
They showed the last final they played against each other and Brian Wilson was the one kicking the goal.

Tony Jones contribution to the build up to tonight’s game:

if the AFL want to know what a night GF would be like tonight is their chance with 95,000 fans from two massive clubs out in force.

unlike , Tony, at least 8 night finals in the last several years with crowds of over 90. Half of them 94 thousand plus. Brainless. Clueless.

Revolutionary from Chompers.

What about a twilight GF with one big club and another with no supporters that no one cares about?

That would be the litmus test. If only we could get the chance to see what it would look like…….

Htf do you get a job in the footy media?
The only requirement I can think of is the afl have a policy that people with “special needs” or “Intellectual disability” can apply.
I might look for an application form myself. Good money, able to talk *smile*, watch some footy, make outrageous statements, make dumb statements, talk more *smile*, no KPI measurements to meet, have sfa idea.
I’m a shoe-in I reckon. The only drawback is I’d have to put up with all the *smile* wit media dills.I’d end up with permanently bruised knuckles

Don’t forget the PA system blasting out pop music after every goal.

I never realised how hated we were until we became successful. Not only were we the most hated from oppo supporters, which I expected, but the hate from the media, afl hq and the umpires took me by surprise.

And to see how Collingwood is loved by all, is even more confusing to me, they have a loud feral supporter base, consider themselves to be the best in the land, but theres no one trying to tear them down like there was with us. I just dont get it.

The attempted dismantling of the RFC by various AFL arse lickers masquerading as sports journalists is both obvious and a failure.

And it would be appropriate if Tiger supporters stop feeding this machine by ignoring all the rubbish and bias written about Richmond.

That goes for the continual back slapping towards Hardwick who broke his contract and left the Tigers for a job that will in part be funded by the AFL.

We were a joke before 2017, then we went in with it. People don’t like having their toys taken away.

Gary Lyon just asked the Fux panel, would you be happy to see a football action cause a concussion in a GF, like Braynard's....he used May smacking into Daicos.
Wow the short memories......2020 GF, Gonemissingafield vs Tigga......and that was considered a football action!

Years ago on the early days of the ALeague I went to a Melbourne victory function pre game. Tony jones was on our table.
It was 15 years ago I reckon I still remember what a tool he was

It doesn't start til after you win the flag, god forbid you win a few more.
There was a very noticeable shift in narrative after 2017, with each win it gained size & momentum like a snowball rolling down a hill.
Rules were changed or in 1 famous Gabba case simply re-written on the fly, players got trialed by media repeatedly, Lynch's character was pulled apart.
It'll be interesting to see what happens should Pies look like doing the same, hopefully we never get to see.

****** Fly, he's made the runts likeable.......................almost.

Maynard sent straight to the tribunal.
MRP man musta been seriously conflicted trying to decide whether it was just playing footy or a tribunal adjudication ( he could still walk free ) took near on 24 hours to review n make a call. Of course Christianwood took the easy option n left it for the legal bullshitters n tribunal panel to make the call. Bring plenty of party pies Bruzza, you'll be right.
