Fires

Scary, eerie morning here. The reddest sunrise I've ever seen, in fact I looked out the window and thought the farm was on fire. Really hot, strong northerly winds. The dogs are freaked out and trembling. Hope things don't pan out as bad as expected around the state and the fires stay under control. Stay safe everyone.

How far away are any of the fires Rosy?
I certainly hope everyone is safe. Kudos to the brave firefighters and volunteers. They do a bloody magnificent job in life threatening and extreme circumstances. :clap

Thankfully we don't have any issues regarding bushfires.

Can anyone confirm what I thought I heard on the radio yesterday that 150 people have been charged with deliberately lighting fires over the past month?

I'm not sure of the penalties usually handed down to to these scumbags, but they should be charged with attempted murder at the least if they've been proven to have deliberately lit fires. Start setting an example.
