Brissy game is an early start so carlton can fly home that night should they win.

And yes Kingsley is clearly a great coach, has them all in career best form but they always had a talented team full of top end players, they now finally have a decent coach and motivator.

Tarranto has been a sensational pick up.
Hopper was injured all through out 2022.

You don't come to Richmond if you have any injury issue because your no chance ever fully recovering. Been a huge issue for 40 yrs. Ive lost count how many players were never given enough time to fully recover. Foley Couglan Free Turner etc
Sam Taylor's back was fked and he now looks and plays like iron Man all because they msnaged him correctly. Cameron never tried to rush him back.
Hopper was still having knee issues. Due diligence. Recruit him but look after him.
Same with Lynch couldn't break into a jog over the summer but they had him in at round 1. 6 months later he is still in a moon boot.
How long did Carlton give Curnow to recover from his knee issues,??

Good to watch? The game was over by half time. The dinky 10 meter kicks and wobbly hand passes by GWS to keep the ball moving at all costs was hard to watch, for me, and would have been chopped out mercilessly had they been playing a decent side!

The appalling kicking for goal by both sides and across the AFL is a blight on the game. As is - get ball - take control of ball - 10 players jump on your back and sandwich into the ground - free for holding the ball is just plain ridiculous.

Football over the last few years has become a boring rolling scrum, riddled with the worse goal kicking in the history of the AFL - no, football is very tough to watch these days.

I’m wondering what scenario the AFL would prefer most. A collingwood Carlton gf would be a blockbuster in ratings in Victoria between 2 traditiona rivals. Or a brisbane giants gf. Ratings through the roof in Queensland and nsw.
