Euro 2024

Really want England to win. I think they deserve a major trophy after challenging in Russia 2018 and losing the last Euro's on pens. But we know the Kane curse will probably deny them.

There are daily group games kicking off at 11pm our time, so not too late.
0-1 loss to Iceland in their Wembley friendly. Not stellar form to be going into Euro with.

There is no porridge in Germany. That is the problem.

They should be able to get some rowies over there. That should spark them into life. Failing that just some tennants super would put some hairs on their chest

That was beer they found.
It is an interesting phenomenon isn’t it. A country like Croatia, with a relatively similar population to Scotland (actually a bit smaller), similarly football mad, consistently puts great teams on the park. In that context, Scotland really underperforms.

Also when you consider you’ve got the likes of Celtic and Rangers academy systems and Scottish players have easy access to the English development system and club academies growing up, with no visa issues.

Yeah they needed to in order to balance their GD. Not much chance of making the knockouts now.
If teams are level on a group, then it goes to head to head record in that group. If they drew head to head then to goes to goal difference.

Between 3rd place finishers it will be on points first, GD second so still could be important.

Scots and Swiss drew 1-1 so it's all on GD. Drof reckons they'll get 5 goals back against Hungary....a big ask. They need at least 2 teams in other groups to get thrashed.

Yeah... And you tend to get fewer big scores later in group stages as some teams have qualified and some teams only need draws to progress.

So the wee Scots might be struggling.
