Essendon = Entitlement

Watched most of the game with my old neighbour who is a Bombers man. Was on my best behaviour as he is a great bloke and clearly down in the dumps as they were getting smashed. Said to him as i left “ah well,Robbo will have changed his mind about Brad Scott after saying he was doing a great job. James Hird should be coach”……

Lets watch developments. If Essendon start poorly next year….watch Sheedy and Robbo start to prime the engine for Hirdy to come back.

Dealing with frustration is such an important part of a club’s culture.

Dimma was great in the way he remained pragmatic, so if we lost, it was always still in context of a larger journey. He immediately shifted the players’ focus to what they could learn.

Imbeciles like Brad Scott are dime a dozen. Every loss leads to emotional, myopic statements that indirectly blame the talent or their innate character, which is a problem that can only be solved by making list changes.

Robbo’s opening criticism, however, is focused on attitude, gameplan, and the leaders - not the list or overall talent. It’s a shot at Brad Scott.

This tells me the players have issues with Scott (since they leak to Robbo). And this tells me Essendon still have a long way to go…

So this. Imagine Kevin Sheedys phone log Saturday night. Imagine him three bottles deep. Like a volcano ready to go.

I wonder how things are behind the scenes at the Bombers?

Footy boss walks out one week..

Thrashed the following week with finals on the line..

Darcy Parish remains unsigned..
