End of an Era

What i'm saying is new game plan, old game plan, doesn't matter.
we have hit a wall with fatigue.

I respect your measured response, but ‘a bit of fatigue’ isn’t really coming through in your extended campaign.

Dimma knows the score and we will at least make finals. From there, who knows?

We've been Walter Lindrum-ed.
Can‘t find the specifics, but didn’t he still dominated for many years after regardless?

Maybe because we have been written off at various times over the past five years and have proved the doubters wrong time and again, but until it’s either mathematically impossible to make the finals, or we get knocked out in a cut throat final, I’m not giving up any hope of seeing the cup lifted by Cotch and co one more time this season.
If we win it, I’ll be ecstatic like the previous years. If we don’t, I look forward to them challenging again next season.
Its not over yet

We're just saving up our good games for when it's important. Just gunna sneak up behind em all at finals time n nuke *smile* out of them.
Can’t believe Melbourne only play 5 top 8 teams where one else has at least 7

End of an era. Bloody hell. I've already supported the Tigers through one 37 year stretch. That means I'll be frigging 91 before our next premiership comes round.

I'll be dribbling yellow and black by that stage. Hell, at the rate the rules are changing we will probably be playing the games on the beach in frocks using croquet mallets.

Ha ha, just messin’ with ya Burg.

I have no intention of trawling through old threads for oops moments. Plenty of strange folk on here prepared to do that for me.

I far prefer PRE posters to actually have a crack at saying something.

And I do love my own occasional nuclear hot take :)

In terms of your position, I think you’re going too early. We will look very Richmondy by the time September rolls around. I think Hardwick is just tinkering and got a bit ahead of himself.
Hope you're right mate. It got very ugly a few years back when they were trying to get the hang of playing 2-speed footy. Knowing how to control the game and how to hit the afterburners. Flamed out into flat spins and Goose bought it few times. Love you Goose. But they got there. They learned how to manage their bursts. Maybe he is trying something again? I can't quite figure out what it is, but then I couldn't quite figure out what K-Mac was doing for the longest time.

1500 if it's at the dump?
Unchanged capacity (25%). We might give the 6025 v West Coast at Princes Park in 1993 a shake. Lowest in Melbourne prior to that was 1949 when attendances at venues other than the MCG were estimates to the nearest thousand.

Edit: 25K not 25%

The next thing Gill and Hocking will probably do is cut the season short like last year and really make sure we cant do any damage.
They had plans to go straight too the finals if GWS won on the w/end.

Nice to hear Balmey being calm and collected on the Talking Tigers podcast.

All is not lost, we have challenges but we can prevail!

Look at Brisbane, 4 years at the top, --- 5th year: era fininshed
Hawthorn 4 years at the top, ---- 5th year, era finshed .
Richmond 4 years at the top, --- 5th year, so far struggling

It's the 5th year crash.
If I didn’t know better I say I write for the AFL

I think we're going to fall like Brisbane. Out of the 8, time for a rebuild. We're done with this lot unfortunately.
Time to start giving some players their farewell games and getting experience into the kids.
