Should be AA captain 2017

He's better than Rampe this year. Must be in consideration for AA.

Apart from hibberd and touey no one deserves to be in the best 22 then grimes.
Without him bottom 6

Re: Dylan "Solid like a Rock" Grimes

Tross, Grimes and Dave really are the perfect example of synergy. The value sum of all three combimed is greater than the sum of each individual player.

Too true Baloo.
They're a collective. The synergy between them is palpable

So true. They seem to know what each other is thinking and act accordingly. An immense trio

Hibberd will only have played 17 games, I think, zips. So that probably rules him out. Tuohy is in line for a running back spot. (The selectors may have noticed Docherty this year. I haven't got Tuohy in.) Maybe. Rance, Lever, Hurley? And they select a fourth tall or #3 back.

Optimus might go close there. Or to the Nick Smith/Sean Dempster AA spot, I reckon. They don't give them out every year. Total contribution and exceptional year sorta thing.

Dunno. Long shot but in the mix.

You were slow to catch on to him, but glad you're now on board. Grimesey's been hard at it all his career, I reckon he's great. Love his attack on both the man & the ball.

He looks like one of those pale pasty Irish blokes, but like most of those blokes he hard as nails.
His early years were hampered by hamstring troubles which threatened his career but hopefully that's behind him.

Re: Dylan "Solid like a Rock" Grimes

Who would be prepared to argue with Grimes when he is bearing down on you at a rate of knots. all arms, elbows, knees and incredible determination. Another great game

Re: Dylan "Solid like a Rock" Grimes

Doull 2.0. Shame he doesn't win more of the ball, as it means he'll rarely get the recognition he deserves. If they selected the AA back pocket on defensive ability rather than cheap touches he'd have it locked down.

Re: Dylan "Solid like a Rock" Grimes

An absolute beauty is Grub. Another fine game of tenacious competitiveness, courage and leadership.

Re: Dylan "Solid like a Rock" Grimes

One of the most underrated in the comp along with Astbury
