Knee was strapped for a medial strain, not hammy.

Then they were strapping it wrong.
Confirmed by the club as a hamstring strain. Reported as 1-3 weeks. We all know by now what that means..
Seriously this is absolutely crap timing. Grimes has been an integral part of our all conquering back 6 and now he's subject once AGAIN to a repeat injury.
Argh.

Sorry Mole it IS a hamstring man.

Its not a medial ligament strain thats what they first thought hence they strapped his knee but was no good and started to get worse.

Its a low hamstring in above the knee where it joins into the knee thats why he was subbed due to his history of hamstring issues.

Confirmed by Burgeon RFC website.

Dea is not a certainty in my opinion McIntosh can play Grimes role against the Suns, Dea is not required.

Or can also move Brandon Ellis to HBF and Vlastuin into Grimes role with Batchelor 3rd tall.

Dont forget Mr Star jumps might aso get recalled.

Quite a big loss. I would have Grimes quietly behind Rance as our second most important defender. Fast, versatile, adds a bit of run and has added toughness to his game. His loss changes our structure a lot. We rotated Vlaustin, Houli and Grimes on the smalls a lot. Add in an Astbury and that's a slow backline.

Club is downplaying his injury with the vid on the website. I'll believe it when I see a Grimes hamstring not last longer than 4-5 weeks. Don't think we'll win a final without him.
