And to add insult to injury he gets into the face of few Blues with his dead-eye thousand yard stare as well. Geez I love him.

On contract negotiations I always got the impression he just lets his manager have his head and shop him around but Dusty himself would prefer to stay at Richmond.

Not sure how accurate, but the Hun put out an article n claim that Dusty put the contract talks on hold, not the manager.

Three finals failures in a row n a crap season last year would have any elite player wondering about a clubs chances of even getting to the big September dance. Perhaps it's not all about how big the pay packet is, but will he ever get a chance to genuinely contend for a flag during his career.

one club players get more endorsement opportunities at the end of their careers and can get ongoing club promotion roles. Dusty will always be a marketing bonanza for us if he stays a tiger for life.

We know Dusty can't play like that every week. Sanity will return as soon as he puts in an ordinary game. Anyone would think he does 33 and 4 goals every week! Take a breath folks. It's round one.

Agree.

The amount of nuthugging from everyone especially from the collective media, and to a lesser extent on PRE has reached preposterous levels, and is simply unhealthy. I just hope Dusty stays grounded and he doesnt read his own press.

Was cringing as every time he got near it, the channel 7 commentators were simply wetting their pants. Lets all just take a deep breath and calm the h down. It was a great performance against a side who will be likely bottom 2 or wooden spooners.

Talk of him being elevated in the fyfe danger category is just ridiculous. Let him back it up for an extended period or at least against some quality sides before we even start that conversation.

You have to wonder if this new Dusty was ready to explode last year. With the hysterical media and even some so called Tigers supporters turning on him viciously and incorrectly for chopstick gate, then the deportation of his father, what we saw on Thursday was actually on target for last year.

I think he is a massive chance to totally explode. I think he was ready last year but was held back by our idiot coach. The numbers were Brownlow like last year but the way he was using the pill just wasn't Dusty. We saw the deal deal the other night. Attacking footy attacking Dusty.

Yeah but he was great v Collingwood the week before too.

Sign for Richmond dusty!!

If he really wants out we are helpless really. Whatever the outcome im sure Dusty will do the right thing by the club and won't burn us.

They looked dead set scared of him actually.

Dusty's absolutely within the same range as a Fyfe or Danger, just as capable as either of those of racking up thirty plus touches, banging through a handful of goals or tearing a game apart. His biggest drawback has been playing in a moderate side all his career that have struggled with consistency of performance.
Apart from 2012 when he had a minor issue or two along with Condog, Dusty has been top four in our BnF every year. He's made All Aust n top three in the Brownlow last year, so his performances have been consistent quality.
No surprise to me if, with a more balanced team around him, he elevates another level again.

Report saying Dusty been offered a million a year contract from Nth Melbourne???

Yep, this will go on all year if he doesn't sign.
We're in a tough position as a club, I'm almost positive that if we'd had a decent season last year he would of signed already. That pathetic season and game plan dimma and his coaching staff rolled out has not only cost us $$$ which I'm sure it already has in the 100's of thousands, but it could ultimately cost us one the greatest talents that's walked through the doors at punt rd for 30 years. The fact that he's held off talks, because he wants to wait and see what direction the club is heading in, has opened the door for every club to throw cash at him now.

I reckon we're gonna be hard pressed to keep him imo

He looks so fit. He used to play in bursts, but not now, several times we was involved at one end and then the other only a contest or so later. It's this increased sustained running ability that will see him rise to the next level.

It may be ridiculous to expect that every week, but he will have a handful of games of similar quality through the year.
