When you re-watch those 17-19-20 finals you realise just how good Edwards' performances were. His 2020 GF was huge, as was his third quarter the previous year against the Lions at the Gabba. I could go on.

He’ll absolutely hate it. You just know the media will purposely hound him more than any other player in the league. Just to *smile* him, and the club off even more.

They tried this in the US and it didn’t go over well with the players.
I remember watching clips of players answering all questions with a scripted response that went something like. I’m only because the NFL will suspend me if I don’t.
No other response was given. I don’t know how it was resolved or if they changed the rules but it was farcical and I’d hate to have it happen here
Sure his teammates will follow Dusty anywhere but he hasn't the media personality to represent the club at functions and media. A case of the best player doesn't always make the best captain.
Just shows that the AFL see themselves as truely entertainment industry people, rather than game first, entertainment next
