Dustin Martin

Hmm. 33 possessions, a goal, 5 tackles, a few score involvements, played without a couple of his best mates. In a nothing game. Didn’t look invested in the club to me. Yeah. He’s moving

Not :))

He did mention it in his presser Roar and Corn this morning had to go with “ I hate when people put up their player for AA. If we had to put every player , what about the other players in their position” ( words to that affect)

Bucks then replied later that Champions Data Horne? brought up stats last week to the year Dusty is having!

To that Kane said “ he is in AA contention “.

I know as both are selectors they can’t comment ( their meeting is today ) , but Kane’s lack of respect or acknowledgment of the great man or anything RFC is beyond bias.

He hasn’t forgotten or forgiven PA in the PF of 20 , allowing the great one to do as he wished without a ‘hard tag’.

Dusty’s performance this year ( waiting’s ) without back up, that this year would be on par with his Brownlow medal year of 17.
We are not going to have an AA player in the final team, we,ll have a rep or 2 in the initial squad to pacify.

But listening & reading commentary the squad is going to have to be about 150 players as everyone keeps saying every must be in contention for the AA squad.

Dusty was robbed of a certain AA in 2019, so I'd be pleased if they'd rectify that howler by selecting him in a year where it is more unlikely than likely.

I have watched quite a few games over the season including every one of the Tigers and it was obvious that Dusty is head and shoulders over any other half forward / forward in the league this season not necessarily scoring but involvement in the game. Add his classy time in midfield means that if he is not an AA this year then the crew that chose the final 22 haven't a clue

I dont think AA means much anyway. The nice thing is that he is working back into the conversation. A slow burn since 2020.

Barrett is still carrying on about him going to GC next season. That’s despite a number of his fellow click baiters coming up with a few very valid reasons why he won’t go there in 2024.

Dusty should say if he makes AA he’ll go to GC
Watch them make him captain

Lynch via FA after we won a flag would *smile* other teams I’m sure. Helped us win two More.

let’s be honest its this father -son and or academy freebies or fa freebies that make or break you for sustained success. Maybe Melbourne the exception.

Melbourne had the huge benefit of tanking for so long, then the expansion clubs stealing their picks. They were then given over the top compensation for Frawley and Scully. Those players left, so they were compensated again, and again, until eventually they picked a player that they could develop.

It's one of the few times I think tanking "paid off" but it took a long time to get there.

They had some king sized bad misses, Dodoro type misses.
Blind nice misses..Trengrove & Scully before Martin.
That's surpassed Tambling over Franklin and Fiora over Pavlich.
The AFL rocked them to sleep during the early part of the 2010's
We were compared to Fitzroy and we got Jack shoitt to help us.
That's why I'm soooo happy with us.
