The decision to replace Cotchin with Grimes and Nakas was a 1989-1992 club decision..
Martin is the stand out option.
The club needs to pull its head out of its ass and make the change now.
The same Dermie who infamously branded him a waddler in his first year.
Dusty is currently back at his best and seemingly loving his football again. However calling for him to be captain is a no no for me . Great player and players will follow him but an introvert with the press and representing the club fronting up with the press is an integral part of captaincy and Dusty hasn't got the mindset

Leave him be. He's been our best and inspired others without the Captaincy tag. He knows how much he means to the club.
I wouldn't burden him with all the extra duties that go with being Captain. Let him live free.

He is no worse at media than Nank.

Agree. *smile* the media and *smile* the AFL. They screw us at any opportunity anyway.
The captaincy question should be straightforward
If he really wants the job - he should be given it in a heartbeat
If he's reluctant - or says for certain that he doesn't want it - just let him play (like he's done these last 2 weeks)

Indecision and the team has been indecisive and directionless since.
As I remember it, in his FOX interview with Nick Riewoldt in 2021, he said he felt he would be able to cope with the role.
Maybe not overly enthusiastic in his response but he should be asked to do it now.
We are along way off top 4 but as we build there is no person in football better equipped to demonstrate by example, the sort of selflessness and courage that is required to make us great again. To have this come from a team mate is great. To have it come from a Captain is priceless.

Mini with the AA call - think it was the presser.

Just playing with a legend like Dusty motivates players, let's not try and make him something he is not.
He did mention it in his presser Roar and Corn this morning had to go with “ I hate when people put up their player for AA. If we had to put every player , what about the other players in their position” ( words to that affect)
Bucks then replied later that Champions Data Horne? brought up stats last week to the year Dusty is having!

I know as both are selectors they can’t comment ( their meeting is today ) , but Kane’s lack of respect or acknowledgment of the great man or anything RFC is beyond bias.
He hasn’t forgotten or forgiven PA in the PF of 20 , allowing the great one to do as he wished without a ‘hard tag’.
Dusty’s performance this year ( waiting’s ) without back up, that this year would be on par with his Brownlow medal year of 17.
