Watson is adamant that he will not sign anywhere for some time yet. Essendon are into Martin big time and are very confident that he will sign with them.
Watson is a flog

Didnt Greg Deadman say on sen a week ago Dusty will remain a tiger dont think he will move

Theres no AFL media "expert" that knows what Dusty will do theyre all just making their own assumptions
IMO Dusty is our BIG FISH an A grade pack busting, match winning, goal kicking midfielder we must do everything we can to keep him.
If our midget can score $3.5Mill over 5 years Dusty deserves $5Mill over 5years

i agree but can u imagine the draft picks we would have if he left be a great rebuild they need to through the kitchen sink at him he deserves it

Where's the worst journo in the country Jon Ralph?

Typical Jon Ralph insight 'He might re-sign, but if he doesn't then he'll leave'.

So it's not that bad if he wants to wait until the season's end. It means he has to perform, and any injury setbacks could even cut his value. Not that we'd want that; it's just a risk he and his crew take by not accepting a pretty lucrative offer.

OTOH, if we can withstand the pressure of media speculation via the strategy of putting it back on he and his management, by late 2017 season, we will know where the team is at definitively, plus if Dimma is the coach going forward.

Thus, if the year turns to crap and we are getting a new coach, it is in our interests to weigh up our options. As much as I love DM, he does turn the ball over a lot too. If we have to do a harder re-build, a couple of extra top draft picks will be required.

The answer to your first question is yes. Barrett for one.

Their all pretty ordinary but Ralph is about average in his mediocrity imo

The harsh reality is, every side will be shouting Dusty out for a coffee. They'lle all offer him big dough and long deals. The Hawks and Swans will also offer him a huge brown paper bag, and it wont be filled with croissants.

Then he'll sign with Richmond.

I suspect Dusty would have been reared old-school, with plenty of loyalty. Loyalty still exists.

Hey Easy, no concerns over Rioli according to Herald Sun today Dan and his manager saying they are ready to sign a long term deal maybe 3 years and are not looking at any other clubs :clap

Dusty needs to wake up too. We took him back when he wanted to walk.
Just don't want him to screw the club. He isn't worth more then a million.
