I'm thinking with our 4 picks we could then get Richard Tambling, Danny Meyer, Adam Pattison and Dean Polo.

Interesting scenario if the media hype has more than an ounce of weight to it, mind you they've run the Lids saga for a few weeks n got suitable reaction, now Dusty for a few weeks n then maybe Jaaack for a few more.

Pushes the thought barrow though.
Does the club wait till sometime next year before offering Dusty a new n fatter contract as free agency approaches, and risk losing him at seasons end for the AFL's version of compo.

Does the club step up to the plate n organise an upgraded extension over the off season to ensure Dusty stays a Tiger for life.

Or does the club bite the bullet n shop around for the best possible trade deal for an elite player while his market price is at an absolute peak ( he'd be worth an early first round in two drafts in a row easily ) and use the value of a premium player, plus whatever other players we can trade out this year to completely refresh the list over two drafts n then make a charge at the upper levels of the ladder.

We could be looking at getting in a Prestia plus at least keeping a first round pick in this years draft together some decent picks within the top forty this year, then double dipping with two first rounders next year. Combine that with a refreshed n revamped drafting team n it should be worth at least considering.

Why over-complicate it ? If he's still good enough and is seen to be part of our long term future you offer another contract at market value. Not that hard. Or alternatively we try and play the trade game as we've done so successfully in the past. Lesson: leave a good thing alone ..

Do we have to give them our first rounder as well?

Football manger for the crows Mark Bickley has stated that Townsend and Moore are in there sites to improve their useless midfield
Don't forget Sloane is trying his guts out.
