Yeah. I recall the interview with chocco earlier this year where he heaped praise on Dimma for being willing to listen and change.
The whole footy department has changed and it certainly wouldn't work imo if the Head Coach was a blocker

Well Said Sin, in fine form recently!!

Its funny but also quite sad that a few come on here spruce conspiracy theories and are able to spew it out as fact, essentially opinions layered with assumptions and then be regurgitated to perpetuate the theories..

Hah! Every Dimma failing is a virtue and every Dimma debacle is a success. Who needs Winston Smith?

Did Hardwick have any choice?

Hah! Yes we should stick to the script, a win is down to anything else but Dimma, a loss is down to Dimma. Beautiful.

I still don't buy it that this change and improvement is dimmas doing.
A major thing that sticks in my mind is how we had been the lowest tackling side for 3 years. Not a one off 1 year thing. It was a constant. And how he said we're not a tackling side, that's not our game style.
Now all of a sudden tackling is our no 1 priority.... and it's dimma who changed and all of a sudden n saw the light??? No way. I give the credit to the new asst coaches. As soon as we got this new bunch bang we changed completely. Dimma not fooling me on this one

hilarious. Fair dinkum.

Yep.

Old assistants had no input. Stodgy gameplan was all Dimma's doing. Assistants just cut the oranges.

New assistants have 100% input. New gameplan all their doing, none of it due to Dimma. Dimma actually sent away on study tour to make sure he could have no input.

We play bad, its due to a stodgy coach. We win, its the top 4 list defying the coach and coaching themselves.

We kick 11.15 handbrake applied by Dimma. Kick 15.11, handbrake released by Leppachella.

And on it goes....

It's the first time in my life we have had a coach that has been on the chopping block and has been able to survive and turn it around.
Why have assistants if your not willing to receive new ideas/information.
Doofus has come a long way this year. He could've Wallace/Frawley us

Best post I have seen from you Zips.

Hah! On the contrary, rather than sticking to your rose colored script you could try logic and common sense.

No. I was simply replying to a question. People always have choices and so does Hardwick

I agree, surfing on the back of some else's competence seems a good choice to me.

Pity Dimma had some buyer's remorse rds 6 -9.

I think he is back on the horse now. Balmey needs to keep re-assuring him how vital and important he is in the scheme of things.

Ever managed a team lamby? Good leaders give people in the team a chance to excel and let them do it. Command and control has been out-of-date for 15 years.

Yep I reckon Richmond are leading the pack here.

I had a quick look at a few top clubs web sites and I couldn't find one team where the coach (read football manager) has sub contracted in full offensive ball movement to an assistant.

Gotta stay ahead of the pack ey Anty?

If that's what works for us, yes, absolutely. Every great leader delegates effectively. And if we are league leaders and the innovators in best practice on this, I'm all for it.

You are on board with this too right Lambster?
