It has become a circus.
It has.
I reckon it’s a big reason Dusty has decided enough is enough.
It defies logic that he’d switch to a franchi$e club to play for a lowly wage & reignite the circus & scrutiny that would inevitably follow him. Its anti Dusty.
He has absolutely nothing left to prove in the game & will remain a one club legend.

Yep. *smile* headache. Get this sh1t over and done with quick.
Even though it feels like it is in the end it has nothing to do with us.

I assume he is still a contracted player and not lodged his retirement papers and if that is true he can go anywhere he likes and we will get compensation which will be zero.

We are spectators

Dusty said he was retiring and we all went to celebrate his 300th game and his last walk around the MCG thanking us supporters
Never once did he say hed be playing on next year and want to go to GC
I have lost respect for Dimma as he abandoned us as he plots against us coaching GC
I’ll also lose respect for Dusty if he goes and pulls on a GC jumper and plays against us
Loyal when a player wears the yellow and black but when they choose to wear another jumper the loyalty to the player is no longer there
Clubs throw loyalty out at the end of each season. No such thing anymore.

Dusty (the person not the player) is in an interesting point in his life. Has success and if reports are correct plenty of cash and some really good investments.
However he has nothing else in his life that we have seen. Doesn’t want to work in media or club land, certainly won’t work in a normal job, doesn’t run a charity etc..I don’t care who you are if you don’t have a purpose or reason to get out of bed in the morning your life can become pretty meaningless.
Add that to the realisation that unless he dives head long into the media there is nowhere he can earn near the $350-$400k GC are talking.

Look what I do know about Dusty and his management is that he is commercial

The thought that he would uproot his life to get paid $300k is completely deluded

It is not happening ever

He would at least $600/$700k to play, probs more, so I will believe it when I see it

In this case it wasnt the club Dimma wanted some new toys to play with and Dusty convinced everyone hed retired

Oh yeah the new toys

Wonder how he will feel next year with Richmond having 10/12 new toys...and toys from David Jones not the $2 shop
