Demetriou has got to go NOW!!!

Seriously does anyone think that Dimwittriou will be replaced when hes surrounded by Yes men?
He was appointed by the AFL Commissioners and as long as he bring$ in the $$ from the TV right$ hes going nowhere.
If youre looking to hand the petition to Dimwittriou look no further than the next free lunch.

A better way to hurt the AFL would be to organise a stay away protest or similar for round 1 next year.
Imagine 9 games being played in front of Sheffield Shield sized crowds.
I'd think this would impact more that on line petitions and the like.

Demetriou is determined to be remembered forever by the game, he doesn't seem to care if that's as the bloke that destroyed it. The problem with getting rid of him, is who is the alternative?

Demetriou Street is clearly some kind of corporate apologist. :thumbdown

Nine points for a goal will suit Dusty, Lids and Griff just fine.

I want 3 point "super behinds" - would at least make it worth keeping Jackson on the list.

(Hey there Baloo! :wave)

Maybe someone can set up a site just like the one which complained about Vodaphone reception (from memory the guy won an award for it).

A similar site could be set up to complain about the shambles the AFL is turning the competition into.

The fact we have a rules committee in the first place is a disgrace with guys like Barlett who are so out of touch with today's game on the panel.

I'm not 100% but I don't think Bartlett has been on the committee for the last two years but agree on your thought on the rules committee. Reason why so many supporters, clubs & media are so confused on how to read the game.

Make no mistake, this man is taking the game on a path for which it may never recover. not only has he introduced 2 new clubs that will take hundreds of millions of $$$ out of the heartland grassroots and the existing 16 clubs (not to mention make it impossible for Richmond to win a flag anytime soon), now he says the introduction of the 9 point rule will become part of the game one day (page 94 of todays hun). WTF? We've had enough rule changes to last a lifetime and now he wants to tamper with the fundamental scoring process which has remained the same since the 19th century?

Vlad is truly an egotistical madman with who is taking our national down the toilet.

Agree & add the Geisch with his dribble. Furthernore the AFL Commission should be held accountable for these two hacks.

All the AFL Commission see is the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ with manipulated draws to maximize $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to maximize with crowd numbers. Add also the stupid crazy over the top prices for food & beverages. Refuse to buy anything at the ground anymore.

Just laughing at the Canutes who think they can turn back the tide. Demetriou has a billion bucks to play with, he ain't listening. And all the little piggies at the trough are happy whether they be players or clubs. And for all the chest-beating and complaining the league gets richer and richer. He'll be up to earning $3m next year according to That Woman.

You don't want to watch? They don't care.

Why whinge.....it's so simple!

2014 AFL scoring:
Behind = 1 point
Goal = 6 points
Goal but hit the goal post = 3 points
Behind but hit the behind post = 2 points
Supergoal = 9 points
Supergoal zone - Goal but hit the goal post = 7 points
Supergoal zone - Behind but hit the behind post = 4 points
Overhead goal = 8 points
Off or Leg cutter bounce goal = 5 points

(cricket scoreboard...... ;D)

They will if Melbourne Storm start selling out AAMI Park then Etihad then the MCG. Then it will hurt them.

You forgot that we need 4 goal umpires at each end.

i think people need to take a chill pill, although i dont like Vlad and dont agree on most things he does i do firmly believe the AFL is committed to making it the AFL, yes folks the AFL is not the VFL anymore so forget about what is good for VIC and think about what is good for Aust...
getting a team in the GC was a good move and so is GWS, making them competitive and strong from the start is also a good move....

I think most know this, so why does Demitriou pretend he's interested in the welfare of all the Victorian clubs. Just come out and say what we know and that is they don't want 10 Victorian teams.

Need a dangling carrot too, if you can make the ball bounce off the top off one goal post and then the top of the other goal post the game is over, you win and you get a 200 point bonus. Good incentive for past teams like the Tigers when we're 150 points down.

How about a basketball sized target, say , depending on the ground, 30 rows back behind each goal, that if any player from the team running towards that end hits on the full from outside the 50 at any stage of the game, automatically wins the game for there team , regardless of the score or how far into the match?

Also, change the minimum distance for a mark to 5 metres, introduce 100 metre penalties, gridiron helmets for all players and jet packs for KPPs, female players who can only be "tackled" tag footy style, a special gay rights themed round, a special round in tribute to the blind to be played only at night and at venues without lighting or alternatively a "green round" with flouro guernseys and glow in the dark footys in lieu of lights for the night games, a round in tribute to dwarves, in which teams can't field any talls. The possibilities are endless in this brave new world of footy.

Ultimately the AFL needs my money. If I get sufficiently fed up that it stays in my pocket, the suits lose. So who really holds the power?

Yep. They may not need your money if your the only one who leaves but they lose ten's or hundred's of thousands in the same manner and see how they go.
