Morwell ain't Melbourne.Baloo said:Yeah, that and the fact that McDonald was a Victorian as well and still couldn't cope.
Didn't they evict..................... erm um cough I mean rescue you yet Yin, how can you see the keyboard through all the smoke, or is that just normal status around your keyboard?YinnarTiger said:Morwell ain't Melbourne.

Got that spot on D. T. All the interstate kids go through similar periods in their first year or two, some are just affected worse than others. Wasn't all that long ago Cartoon had similar issues with a gun full forward from the Bendigo area, couldn't handle the crap of living in Melb or all the hype around AFL footy and that was still when the players could have some fun between games without people tearing them apart.Darth Tiger said:He probably knows 100 people all thru the HFC.
Garlett is just a very immature male that is 3000km from home that has hit a wall that he thinks is a cliff. It is all in his head, clear that and he clears all obstacles.
Might be some kids realise they prefer normal to fantastic opportunity. At the elite level it's footy, fitness, rehab n monitor everything all day every day. Plenty of kids find they'd rather balance footy with work n lifestyle rather than just footy on edge.CC TIGER said:Reckon some kids just don't get the fantastic opportunity they have, however I don't think many get how hard it can be for some been in the public eye day in day out...
Spot on TM....that's life isn't it some want all the attention in the world others hate itTigerMasochist said:Might be some kids realise they prefer normal to fantastic opportunity. Yep that was him. Gun bush forward that Cartoon picked up but couldn't get him to stay, even in the days before footy became so rigidly structured. With footy being so all consuming nowadays it's no surprise that clubs put so much emphasis on the character of the kids coming in, raw talent simply gives the kids an opportunity to become AFL footballers. It's their mind set that decides whether they'll make it or not. Connors, McDonald, Taylor are three easy samples of young men with talent who simply couldn't match the required mental disciplines to survive at AFL level.spook said:Stephen Oliver?
The fact WC and Freo didn't want him should have sent off flashing neon lights to every other team. They've been rorting the system for years and even this kid being a *smile* was beyond even WC's wildest plans. ;DStreak said:Garlett's big problem is that he wants to come home to WA to play AFL, but neither club here wants him.
