His marking was good tonight, but just doesn't know what to do once he has the ball!

Correct - marked well on a slippery night but so slow to move it on. Is slow as well & will always be found out against a mobile tall opponent.

However rather try him next week against North - Chaplin was badly exposed in last year's final. Next week will be a key test for Astbury's future.

Dave can take a mark but once he has the ball his brain shuts down. Maybe he could keep Petrie quiet. As long as Batch is not on Waite I don't care.

To some extent it would also nullify either Thompson or Tarrant who are both playing excellent footy and intercept marking at will.

A defensive full forward. It's actually a pretty good idea.

Good mark, some very good marks last night, fingers over eyes when he kicks the ball though. Too many kicks just don't hit the mark. Not much else to replace him with so let's hope he can just keep playing OK football.
